  • Patent number: 12036466
Abstract: An edge protector for a sports board in the form of a bead of a resilient material having a cross-section comprising a central portion and, extending therefrom in one direction, a tapering impact-absorbing section and, extending from the central portion in the opposing direction, a pair of convergent leg sections for engaging an edge of the board. The central portion and the impact-absorbing section together form a triangular cross-section, which is particularly suited to receiving and dissipating an impact. The triangular section can be a hollow triangular section to reduce weight and tailor the impact response. One leg of the pair extends beyond the other leg to case fitting. The bead is preferably formed by extrusion; silicone with a Shore A hardness of between 62 and 68 provides an ideal resilient material.

  • Patent number: 11811374
Abstract: The present invention is directed to electrical circuits. More specifically, an embodiment of the present invention provides a variable impedance module with a first capacitor coupled to a first input terminal and the second capacitor coupled to a second input terminal. A diode bridge is connected between the input capacitors. The anodes of the top diodes are connected to a supply through a resistor, and the cathodes of the lower diodes are connected to a high-impedance current source. A third capacitor is connected between these two nodes.

  • Publication number: 20230056553
Abstract: A novel adsorbent and contactor material based on polymer functionalized with amidoxime and alkylamines moieties. Methods of making the material are also described. The material can be easily processed into any desired sorbent geometry such as solid fibers, electrospun fibers, hollow fibers, monoliths, etc. The adsorbent exhibits a very high affinity toward acidic gases such CO2 and can be used in direct air capture, power plant-based CO2 capture, and industrial CO2 capture applications. The material can also serve as a contactor that accommodates other adsorbents within its structure.
