    Abstract: A printing system comprises a print fluid deposition assembly, a media transport device, and an air flow control system. The print fluid deposition assembly comprises a carrier plate and a printhead arranged to eject a print fluid through an opening of the carrier plate to a deposition region. The media transport device comprises a movable support surface to transport a print medium along a process direction through the deposition region, the media transport device holding the print medium against the movable support surface by vacuum suction. The air flow control system is arranged to selectively flow air through the opening of the carrier plate between the carrier plate and the printhead based on a location of a print medium transported by the media transport device relative to the printhead.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a modular computing device that provides a user options to upgrade an existing computing device as improved expansion units become available without rendering the underlying base unit obsolete. The base unit of the modular computing device receives high-voltage AC power and one or more power supplies within the base unit converts the AC power to low-voltage DC power that is consumed within the base unit. An AC power transfer unit transfers AC power from the base unit to an expansion unit installed within an expansion dock of the base unit. One or more power supplies within the expansion unit convert the received AC power to low-voltage DC power that is consumed within the expansion unit.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described that provide for a voter-verified digital voting audit trail. One or more votes cast by a voter may be identified at a voting system, and a digital image that lists the identified votes may be generated. The digital image may be stored in a memory and displayed to the voter. The voter may be prompted to provide a voter verification of the displayed votes. Upon receiving the verification from the voter, the voter verification of the digital image containing the votes may be stored to provide a voter-verified digital audit trail. A cast vote record is generated based on the verified votes, and linked to the stored digital image and voter verification. The cast vote record may be provided to a tabulation system that may tabulate votes from multiple voters.

One or more votes on the ballot may be identified as requiring adjudication by an election official. Adjudication information, according to various embodiments, is appended to the optical images of the voter-marked paper ballots such that the image of the ballot and the image of the adjudication information may be viewed in an optical image. The optical image may be stored in a file format that allows the ballot image and the appended adjudication information to be viewed using readily available image viewers.
