  • Patent number: 10493343
Abstract: An apparatus for playing a game includes a plurality of channels, each of the plurality of channels configured to hold and display a column of spherical game-pieces, each of the plurality of channels having an upper end and a lower end, each upper end configured to individually receive at least one of the spherical game-pieces, each lower end configured to support a respective column of spherical game-pieces by preventing passage of a bottom game-piece from a respective channel; a funnel affixed to the plurality of channels and configured to receive a thrown spherical game-piece and to direct the thrown spherical game-piece into the upper end of one of the plurality of channels; and a base stand operably connected to the plurality of channels and configured to rest upon a horizontal surface and to retain the plurality of channels at an acute angle relative to the horizontal surface.

  • Publication number: 20190099647
Abstract: An apparatus for playing a game includes a first plurality of spherical game-pieces of a first color and a second plurality of spherical game-pieces of a second color, each sized and dimensioned to be thrown by hand. A base stand that supports a plurality of vertically oriented channels each configured to hold and display a column of the spherical game-pieces. A funnel is affixed to the base stand that is configured to receive a thrown game-piece, and to direct the thrown game-piece into the upper end of one of plurality of vertically oriented channels. A storage container may be located under the plurality of vertical channels configured to receive and store the game-pieces. The apparatus for playing a game is useful for playing a game with at least one participant.

  • Publication number: 20060149426
Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting a location of an eye of a user using an automated detection process, and automatically determining a position of a head of the user with respect to an object based on the detected location of the eye. A location of an eye of a user inside a vehicle is detected using the automated detection process, at least one of height and orientation information of the user is automatically determined based on the detected location of the eye, and a mechanical device inside the vehicle is controlled in accordance with the determined information. Moreover, an eye blinking pattern of a user is detected using an infrared reflectivity of an eye of the user, and messages are transmitted from the user in accordance with the detected eye blinking pattern of the user.

  • Publication number: 20050202416
Abstract: The present invention relates to the identification of a nucleotide sequence that is conserved in the genome of the Mouse Hepatitis Virus (MHV) and to the design and construction of synthetic nucleotide primers and probes that target this conserved region. The invention further provides for methods and kits that use these primers and probes to detect the presence of Mouse Hepatitis virus in a test sample.

  • Patent number: 4016210
Abstract: A process is provided for the crystallization of bis-(4-chlorophenyl) sulphone from a reaction mixture in which it is formed by reacting chlorobenzene sulphonic acid and chlorobenzene which comprises (i) forming a crystallization liquor from the reaction mixture by adjusting the weight ratio of chlorobenzene to chlorobenzene sulphonic acid of the reaction mixture so as to maximize the quantity of bis-(4-chlorophenyl) sulphone which can crystallize from the liquor at a desired crystallization temperature, and (ii) allowing the bis-(4-chlorophenyl) sulphone to crystallize from the crystallization liquor at the temperature.
