    Abstract: This disclosure relates to an integrated quantum information processing device with host chips having a body. Each body has a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, a defect cluster, and optical structures to direct excitation light that has entered the host chip toward the defect cluster and to direct fluorescent light emitted by the defect cluster to exit the host chip. A base chip has a first side coupled to the second surface of each host chip, a second side, an electromagnetic signal guiding structure to guide electromagnetic control signals toward the defect cluster. A magnetic field is aligned with a spin axis at a colour centre of the defect cluster and enables initialisation and readout of nuclear spin states of the colour centre. For each host chip the defect cluster is located proximate the respective second surface relative to the first surface.

    Abstract: Glasses are disclosed having a composition comprising the following oxides (in weight %): SiO2 61 to 70%, Al2O3 0 to 9%, Na2O 10 to 13%, K2O 0 to 1%, MgO 2 to 6%, CaO 6 to 16%, SrO 0 to 1%, ZrO2 0 to 1%, TiO2 2 to 15%, the glasses having a strain point greater than 570° C. The glasses have good dimensional stability at high temperatures, making them suitable for fire protection glazings and substrates which are processed at elevated temperatures, e.g. substrates for display panels, information storage discs and semiconductor devices, including photovoltaic cells. Physical properties of the glasses, such as thermal expansion coefficient, density and refractive index, are disclosed, as are the melting and liquidus temperatures. The glasses are suitable for manufacture by the float process, yielding flat glass in the form of sheets.

A particularly preferred embodiment of the glass has a colorant portion comprising 0.31-0.33% Fe2O3, 51-55 ppm Co3O4 and 2-4 ppm selenium, together with a light transmission (Ill D65) of 59 to 62%, a dominant wavelength of 482 nm, a color purity of 7 to 8%, and a performance of 3 to 7%; all in a sample 6.0 mm thick. The glass may be coated with a low emissivity coating.
