Patent number: 11841758Abstract: A system comprising a processor configured to obtain a feature set for a component and generate random trees based on the feature set and a training data set, wherein each of the random trees can include at least one predictive value representing a probability of a feature of the random trees indicating a failure of the component within a period of time. The processor can also select a subset of the random trees based on the at least one predictive value, determine a likelihood of the failure of the component based on operational data for one or more devices and the subset of the random trees, and transmit an explanation to a remote device for the likelihood of failure of the component by indicating the feature selected from the subset of the random trees.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2022Date of Patent: December 12, 2023Assignee: GE Precision Healthcare LLCInventors: Harsha Aeron, Steven James Huff, Uwe Wiedmann, Bulent Alpay, Karim Choukri

Publication number: 20210081741Abstract: An identification badge system has an image relaying device for communicating an electronic image, a base station for communicating with the image relaying device, a readiness indicator, and a reusable badge. The base station has at least one docking receptacle for docking the badge. The badge has a housing and an e-paper display. The housing docks for communicating the electronic image from the base station to the e-paper display and/or for charging. The e-paper display maintains the electronic image when the badge is removed from the receptacle. The base station erases the electronic image from the e-paper display when the badge is re-docked. The badge has an RFID tag for communication with standard access control readers, writers and controllers and has a Wi-Fi transponder and associated circuitry for tracking visitor locations by sending a RF signal to Wi-Fi routers or Bluetooth beacons. Visitor location can also be ascertained using GPS.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 15, 2018Publication date: March 18, 2021Inventors: Ronald James Huff, Pedro Luis Pena

Patent number: 10396897Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for monitoring optical transceiver devices. In one embodiment, a method comprises predicting degradation of an optical transceiver device based on values of an operating parameter of the optical transceiver device obtained over time, and generating a notification of the degradation of the optical transceiver device. In this way, an optical transceiver device that is susceptible to degradation may be pre-emptively identified and replaced, thereby preventing failures of a communication system including the optical transceiver device.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2018Date of Patent: August 27, 2019Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventors: Peter Malave, Partha Natampalli, Aniruddha Banke Tiwari, Jonathan Clarence West, Steven James Huff

Patent number: 10186064Abstract: A system and method for a system and method for implementing an image collage editing software tool implemented in a networked computing environment. Collage is a feature area within an online image editing service that allows users to create a composite image from multiple images. This composite image, generally known as a ‘collage’, can be created with a variety of predefined designs/patterns, as well as user specified number of columns and/or user specified number of rows. Users are allowed a wide array of flexibility on the design of their collage, as a result of the unique user-interface design of the collage feature. The collage area is an in-browser, web-based solution for creating any composite image from multiple images.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2016Date of Patent: January 22, 2019Assignee: PICMONKEY, LLCInventors: Jennifer Laurie Shetterly, Brian Scott Terry, Justin James Huff

Patent number: 10152668Abstract: An identification badge system having an image relaying device for communicating an electronic image, a base station for communicating with the image relaying device, a readiness indicator, and a reusable badge. The badge has a housing, a colored e-paper display, a radio frequency identification tag, and a Wi-Fi transponder and related circuitry that sends radio frequency signals to Wi-Fi routers or Bluetooth beacons in the facility using the system for real-time location tracking of the badge using GPS. Backscatter can be used to encode information on the Wi-Fi signals with little or no battery energy. Tracking information can be stored apart from the badge. The base station has at least one docking receptacle for docking the badge for charging only or also for communication of the electronic image to the badge e-paper display and for erasing the image from the display.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2018Date of Patent: December 11, 2018Assignee: SafePass, Inc.Inventors: Ronald James Huff, Pedro Luis Pena
