Patent number: 12164933Abstract: Disclosed embodiments are directed at systems, methods, and architecture for providing execution order and execution for plugins installed on an API gateway associated with a microservices application. In application architectures where features of microservices are implemented as plugins and migrated to an API gateway, the relevant APIs are able to be built lighter weight than otherwise. However, the migration of the features to plugins introduces the potential for error states in the microservice application. To resolve the potential issues, the API gateway takes into consideration a set of native instructions in each of the plugins to determine the execution order thereof. The execution order is determined dynamically in response to requests by the APIs of the microservice application.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2023Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: KONG INC.Inventors: James Hurst, Joshua Schmid, Shane Connelly, Aapo Talvensaari, Enrique Garcia Cota, Harry Bagdi, Rob Serafini

Patent number: 4985625Abstract: A transfer line used between a gas chromatograph and an ion source of a mass spectrometer is constructed with an inner tube, a middle tube and an outer tube. Disposed within the middle tube are a heater unit which extends along the middle tube and a sensor well. The remaining air space in the middle tube is filled with compacted fine thermally conductive powder. Thermal insulation is provided between the middle and outer tubes. End seals are provided to maintain the integrity of the vacuum system of the mass spectrometer.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 1987Date of Patent: January 15, 1991Assignee: Finnigan CorporationInventor: James Hurst

Patent number: 4682508Abstract: A valve assembly for allowing entry of a sampling device or probe device from an ambient atmosphere to a vacuum chamber comprises an electromagnet means which controls a ball made of magnetic material. Upon entry of the device into an entry inlet of the apparatus, the ball is seated in response to activation of the electromagnet means so as to seal an aperture leading to the vacuum chamber. As the device is moved towards the vacuum chamber, the magnetic force is removed, which allows the ball to drop away from the aperture allowing entry of the device into the vacuum chamber. Upon withdrawal of the device from the vacuum chamber, the ball is actuated by the electromagnet to seal the aperture, thereby maintaining the integrity of the vacuum system.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 1986Date of Patent: July 28, 1987Assignee: Finnigan CorporationInventors: Urs Steiner, James Hurst, J.
