  • Patent number: 11250184
Abstract: A computer-aided design system provides tolerance analysis of model assemblies. Constraints are applied to a model assembly based on user-selected surfaces. Overlay surfaces are defined at the assembly, where each of the overlay surfaces corresponds to a user-selected surface. One or more stacks are defined based on a user input, where the stacks are a measurement dimension encompassing two or more parts of the assembly. The system simulates 1) variation of the overlay surfaces across a range of variation values within a respective tolerance zone based on the tolerance specifications, and 2) alteration of the stack as a result of the variation. Based on the variation of the overlay surfaces, the system identifies a subset of the user-selected surfaces that, when varied within the respective tolerance zone, alter the stack.

  • Patent number: 9384591
Abstract: A computer-aided design (CAD) system provides for designing, modeling and simulating objects in 3D. Both 2D and 3D objects can be provided in a 3D space and associated to one another by one or more constraints. Modification to the objects is calculated to satisfy the constraints as well as the geometric and functional properties of the objects. The objects can then be updated according to the calculated modification, thereby satisfying various requirements of the design.

  • Publication number: 20150361346
Abstract: The present technology is generally directed to vent stack lids and associated systems and methods. In particular, several embodiments are directed to vent stack lids having improved sealing properties in a coke processing system. In a particular embodiment, a vent stack lid comprises a first lid portion proximate to and at least partially spaced apart from a second lid portion. The vent stack lid further comprises a first sealing portion coupled to the first lid portion and a second sealing portion coupled to the second lid portion. In several embodiments, the second sealing portion at least partially overlaps the first sealing portion over the space between the first and second lid portions. In further embodiments, at least one of the first or second sealing portions includes layers of tadpole seals, spring seals, rigid refractory material, and/or flexible refractory blanket.

  • Patent number: 7689852
Abstract: Certain aspects of a system for controlling power for a network interface controller device may comprise a precision voltage comparator that may instantaneously detect ramp up of a main voltage corresponding to a main voltage source in order to control the network interface controller device. A power monitor may detect when a threshold voltage of the main voltage is reached during the ramp up. A main voltage source switch and an auxiliary voltage source switch may switch an output from an auxiliary voltage to the main voltage source without the switches being simultaneously on. The power monitor may determine whether the main voltage is ramping up in excess of a determined rate and if so, may decrease a rate at which the main voltage ramps up. A current limiter and/or the power monitor may monitor and limit an inrush current caused during main voltage ramp up.

  • Patent number: 7623139
Abstract: A computer added design system enables layout of a dependent component based on master components having a set of geometric and functional properties. Based on the state of the dependent component imposed by the assembly, as well as user-entered parameters, modification to the set of properties can be calculated. Based on the calculated modification, the master component and dependent component are updated.

  • Publication number: 20050201448
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for efficient processing of signal in a communication system. The processing of the signal for transmission may include encoding a block of data at an encoding rate 1/R. The encoding produces R number of data symbols for every data bit in the block of data. A block of RAM (299, 600) is partitioned into a plurality of blocks of RAM to allow reading simultaneously data symbols from the plurality of blocks of RAM to produce an in-phase and a quad-phase data symbols simultaneously. At least two scramblers (306 and 307) are used for simultaneously scrambling the in-phase and quad-phase data symbols. A Walsh covering/summing block (700) followed by the scramblers provides efficient Walsh covering and summing of signals for a combined transmission from the communication system.
