The striker is configured to be engaged with the rod in such a manner that the ignitable implement is lit on fire and selectively adjusted relative to a position of the holder.

Abstract: A combination poncho and emergency blanket includes a body consisting of (or alternatively including) a flexible sheet consisting of (or alternatively including) a first outer layer and a second outer layer directly attached to the first outer layer. Such a first outer layer is a front face of the body and the second outer layer is a rear face of the body. Advantageously, the first outer layer includes a biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate resin. Advantageously, the second outer layer includes an aluminized biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate resin; wherein the first outer layer and the second outer layer have a combined cross-sectional thickness of 24 microns.

Abstract: In at least one embodiment, the present invention relates to a stain resistant, water resistant and water repellant treated textile fabric that can be prepared by a) selecting an untreated textile fabric having a first side and a second side, b) topically treating the untreated fabric with an aqueous primary treatment composition comprising a fluorochemical textile treating agent, c) drying and curing the topically treated fabric to obtain a primarily treated fabric, d) securing at least one polymeric film to one side of the fabric, e) providing a polymeric coating on the polymeric film comprising an aqueous secondary treatment composition comprising a fluorochemical textile treating agent, f) applying flock onto the polymeric coating, and g) drying and curing the polymeric coating to obtain a secondary treated fabric.

Abstract: An apparatus for protecting an accessory connector (12) on a communication device (10). The communication device can include an opening (14) for providing access to the connector. The apparatus can be a cover (16) attached in a tethered relation to the communication device. A portion of the cover can be flexible so as to allow a user to selectively move the cover between a first position and a second position. In the first position, at the cover can substantially close the opening such that the connector is substantially protected from the infiltration of solid particles and the gross intrusion of liquids. In the second position, the cover can be held away from the connector such that substantially unimpeded access to the connector is permitted. The cover and communication device can have various associated features to ensure that the cover is retained in the first and second positions.
