Abstract: A method includes a cardholder device receiving at least one cardholder verification rule from a computer, and storing the cardholder verification rule. The cardholder verification rule prescribes circumstances under which a cardholder is required to perform a cardholder verification process in connection with a purchase transaction. The method includes the cardholder device receiving purchase transaction information from a merchant device, and then determining by using the stored cardholder verification rule, and based on at least one of the received purchase transaction information and current circumstances, that cardholder verification is not required. The cardholder device then uploads payment information to the merchant device to complete the purchase transaction.

Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus and computer program products for implementing a mobile remote payment system that allows consumers and merchants to engage in mobile remote payment transactions regardless of their registration point are described. In an embodiment, a mobile remote payment (MRP) switch computer receives from an originating service manager computer, a payment authorization request that comprises payment data, an originating service manager identifier, and a merchant identifier of a merchant.

Abstract: A geographical information system and a method are disclosed for geospatially mapping a least one parcel polygon within a geographical region and for displaying at least one specific attribute of each parcel polygon, i.e. a topological area within the given geographical region, as an attached attribute of latitude and longitude coordinates. The centroid or center point of each of the parcel polygons is determined and stored into conventional computer storage means. The latitude and longitude point feature at the centroid of each parcel polygon is established and similarly stored. A unique tax identification number, e.g. the Assessor Parcel Number (APN) or Parcel Identifier Number (PIN), is assigned to each of the point features. A correlation is then made between the unique tax identification number of the point feature to a text list of at least one attribute, e.g., the physical address of the parcel polygon, of each of the point features. This attribute becomes attached to each point feature.

Abstract: The chucking ring of this invention finds its principal utility in the clamping of top jaws used in a machine tool, such as a lathe, having a chuck and equipped to machine successive workpieces. The chucking ring includes a flanged head on one end of a tubular body portion that removably receives a plug and an adjustable stop for workpieces. The chucking ring is fastened to the chuck with bolts in its inactive position where it functions as a replacement for a chip bushing. The bolts may be removed and the chucking ring rotated to its active position with the flanges on the head aligned with the master jaws for chucking by the master jaws. The top jaws are bolted to the master jaws for machining.

Abstract: A flame retardant composition, for use in flexible urethane foams, which contains about 5 to 95% of tris(monochloroalkyl, dichloroalkyl or mixtures thereof) phosphate and the remainder is a phenyl phosphate ester which is an alkylated triphenyl phosphate having an approximate average formula (R.sub.x ArO).sub.3 PO wherein x ranges from 1 to 2, each R is individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl and Ar is phenyl. Flexible urethane foam compositions containing 8 to 14 parts per 100 parts polyol of this composition have sufficient flame retardant properties to meet the Cal 117 test standard.

Abstract: A single of multi-step water extraction process is described for removing trimethyl phosphate (TMPO) from phosphorus containing pesticides having limited water solubility including 2,2-dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate (DDVP), dimethyl CIS-1-methyl-2(1-phenylethoxycarbonyl)vinyl phosphate, 1,2-dibromo-2,2-dichloroethyl dimethyl phosphate, and trans-2-chloro-1-(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl) vinyl dimethyl phosphate to a concentration of less than 1000 ppm. Methanol, dimethyl methylphosphonate, and dimethyl hydrogen phosphite are also removed from DDVP.

Abstract: Compositions having improved compatibility of halohydrocarbon blowing agents such as trichlorofluoromethane and suitable for curing with polyisocyanates to give low smoke urethane isocyanate foams are described. The compositions include the transesterification products of the residue obtained from the manufacture of dimethyl terephthalate and ethylene glycol or a polyethylene glycol; the transesterification product of that residue and a higher alkylene glycol or higher polyalkylene glycol; and a polyether polyol having an average hydroxyl functionality of at least 4.

Abstract: A refuse compactor having a selector switch for causing the ram to be automatically retained in the compacting position when desired. The control of the compactor is also arranged to provide an automatic movement of the ram to the compacting position and then to a retracted position with the selector switch permitting such automatic cycling, when desired. A signal device is associated with the control to provide an indication of the retention of the ram in the compacting position when the compactor is so arranged. The control may include centrifugal switches and a selector switch for selectively controlling energization of individual forward and reverse start windings of the drive motor for selectively moving the ram.
