  • Patent number: 7285786
Abstract: The scintillating screen of digital imaging systems used in conventional transmission electron microscopy is discretized and the scintillating material is contained in a cellular structure having a geometry judiciously selected for coupling to the optical channels of the imaging system. This allows optical matching, without smearing, between the elements of the scintillating screen and the discrete light-collecting and light-registering optical channels of the system. Cross-talk among optical channels is consequently minimized and the resulting light-imaging resolution of the digital imaging system is optimized.

  • Patent number: 6910924
Abstract: An interface device for interfacing automatic test equipment (ATE) with a unit under test (UUT) comprises at least one general purpose interface (GPI) connector body carrying at least one floating GPI contact, at least one twin access contact (TAC) connector body carrying at least one floating TAC contact, and a printed wiring board (PWB). The GPI contact has a first end and a second end. The first end of the GPI contact is adapted for engagement with a corresponding floating contact of the ATE in a manner to permit electrical communication between the GPI contact and its corresponding ATE contact. The TAC contact has a first end and a second end. The TAC connector body is positioned adjacent to the GPI connector body so that the second end of the GPI contact engages the first end of the TAC contact in a manner to permit electrical communication between the GPI contact and the TAC contact. The PWB has at least one contact pad and at least one surface mount connector for mating with a UUT.

  • Patent number: 6358095
Abstract: A two-component adapter assembly provides a less expensive, less labor-intensive alternative for interfacing between a General Purpose Interface of a CASS (Consolidated Automatic Support System) and a military electronic unit under test, such as a weapons replaceable assembly (WRA) or a shop replaceable assembly (SRA). The adapter assembly includes a first universal adapter component having a first universal connection assembly suitable for attachment to the General Purpose Interface and a second universal connection assembly disposed in electrical communication with the first universal connection assembly. Since the first universal adapter component includes expensive gold-plated attachment sockets for connection to the General Purpose Interface, the invention contemplates using only a single universal version of this component.

  • Patent number: 5102184
Abstract: A trailer for use in moving home furnishings and an automobile which is capable of being effectively and safely towed by a lightweight truck such as a pickup truck. The trailer is especially useful when an individual or family is moving from one location to another and includes a large interior storage space for various home furnishings and the like and an exterior storage space to receive an automobile on an upwardly facing, inclined surface at the rear of the trailer. The interior space includes access doors and the inclined surface is recessed below the top wall of the trailer and provided with tiedowns to securely anchor an automobile in position thereon with ramps being provided to enable the automobile to be driven on to the inclined surface. Storage is provided for the ramps which are also used to facilitate loading and unloading of home furnishings in relation to the interior storage space.
