  • Publication number: 20160076279
Abstract: A latch described herein comprises a ratchet movable between a primary closed position, a secondary closed position and an open position. The ratchet is biased towards the open position for facilitating travel of a striker in a fishmouth of the latch to the secondary closed position. The latch includes a pawl movable between a primary locking position, a secondary locking position and an unlocking position. The pawl is biased towards the primary locking position and has a pawl locking surface for holding the ratchet in the primary closed position and the secondary closed position. The latch includes a lift lever biased towards the open position for moving the striker in the fishmouth away from the secondary closed position and towards the open position when the pawl is in the unlocking position. • Patent number: 8631607
Abstract: In an aspect, the invention is directed to a combination of a carrier and a pulley assembly. The pulley assembly includes a pulley having an associated pulley rotation axis, a pulley bearing member and a pulley fastener. The pulley fastener connects the pulley assembly to the carrier. The pulley bearing member includes a pulley assembly bending load bearing surface. The carrier is mountable to a vehicle and includes a pulley fastener mount for receiving the pulley fastener. The carrier further includes a carrier bending load bearing surface that engages the pulley bending load bearing surface. The pulley assembly bending load bearing surface is generally conical about the pulley rotation axis and tapers outwardly in a direction axially towards the pulley. The carrier bending load bearing surface is generally inner-conical about the pulley rotation axis.

  • Publication number: 20110010999
Abstract: In an aspect, the invention is directed to a window regulator assembly that includes a carrier, a set of lifter plates, a drive motor and drive cables for operatively connecting the drive motor to the lifter plates. At least one rail may be integral with the carrier. The carrier has a carrier seal that is co-molded therewith. The carrier has a pulley assembly thereon that includes a pulley and a pulley bearing member that has a pulley bending load bearing surface that is conical and that mates with a carrier bending load bearing surface that is inner-conical. The lifter plate is capable of a relatively strong connection to a vehicle window. The lifter plate has a window pass-through member that passes through a locking aperture in the vehicle window. The window pass-through member has two ends and is supported at both ends against vertical withdrawal of the vehicle window. The lifter plate also has a reduced tendency to bind when in use.

  • Publication number: 20090223133
Abstract: A clamping assembly for connecting a glass panel to a window regulator has a liner for gripping opposing sides of the glass panel and a holder, connectable to the window regulator, having a channel for seating the liner. At least one of the liner and the holder channel has sloping walls so that the gripping pressure of the holder and liner against the glass panel increases the deeper the liner sits in the holder channel. The liner includes an array of sloping teeth and the holder includes an array of sloping teeth, the liner teeth and holder teeth inter-engaging one another to form a ratcheting mechanism that enables the liner to travel in only one direction, deeper into holder.

  • Patent number: 5989741
Abstract: An electrochemical cell system including an anode compartment and a cathode compartment separated by a membrane and electrode structure. This structure has an anode surface with a plurality of anodes in a side-by-side arrangement exposed to the anode compartment and a cathode surface with a plurality of cathodes in a side-by-side arrangement exposed to the cathode compartment. The anodes and cathodes are separated by a layer of ion exchange polymer and register with each other so that opposing pairs of anodes and cathodes form cells. The membrane and electrode structure further includes a plurality of current collector screens. The current collector screens have an anode contact area in contact with the anode, a cathode contact area in contact with the cathode and a feed through area extending between cells and crossing from the anode contact area to the cathode contact area to connect the anode and cathode of adjacent cells.

  • Patent number: 4344742
Abstract: This invention relates to internal combustion engines, the energy output of which is produced as hydraulic pressure, and in one embodiment comprises two, two-cycle internal combustion engines which face each other, the piston rods of each of which are axially aligned and are linked to both of the axially aligned drive pistons of two hydraulic pumps which also face each other by means of four connecting rods of equal length, the axis of the pump rods being at right angles to that of the engine rods, and associated hydraulic circuitry which includes means for selectively initiating the compression phase of the engines when their respective pistons have thrust outward toward each other to such an extent that the angle between the axis of each of said piston rods and its associated connecting rods has passed through a right angle and said rods would otherwise be retained in said extended position through force exerted on said connecting rods by the pistons of the hydraulic pumps.
