  • Patent number: 6292981
Abstract: This invention relates to hinges in general. More particularly, the invention is concerned with hinges wherein it is desired to have no parts of the hinge visible on the outside of a door or enclosure, where, typically in prior art hinges, a hinge pin is located about which the door rotates about the enclosure frame. The hinge of the present invention is visible from only one side of a door and has a first crescent member having a mounting means for mounting to the door and an arcuate cutout, the arcuate cutout describing a radius about a point that is an actual hinge point of the door relative to the frame, a second crescent member having a mounting means for mounting to a frame, and a pair of protruding cylindrical members adapted to be received within the arcuate cut out, the cylindrical members adapted to secure the first crescent member to the second crescent member. The first crescent member is movable about the actual hinge point with respect to said second crescent member.

  • Patent number: 6179350
Abstract: A draw latch for attaching one member to another, such as a first panel to a second panel, is unlatched and latched by lifting the latch handle in one direction or the other about a pivot axis, which actuates a pawl member which is pivoted to engage and secure a first catch of a keeper, the handle being pivoted to be secured on a second catch of a keeper, with the pawl being latched against a spring bias provided by a keeper member. The handle is securable by a lock which locks the handle to the second catch to prevent release of the pawl from engagement with the first catch.

  • Patent number: 5392659
Abstract: A sampling machine for moving a sampling scoop through bidirectional full rotations which are effective to remove multiple sample volumes from a moving conveyor. The sampling scoop has a home position which is maintained by the its drive without requiring a separate brake. A programmable control provides a full range of multiple sampling cycles at high sampling rates. The sampling scoop cavities are comprised of three straight flat surfaces including a pusher surface which is substantially vertical as the sample volume is pushed off an edge of the moving conveyor.

  • Patent number: 5322400
Abstract: A nut plate fastener retains a screw inserted through an aperture formed in a panel. A double-sided adhesive tape may be adhered to one face of the fastener to mount in the panel aperture. The nut plate fastener consists of an integral member and includes a bottom plate with a cone-shaped ring-liked raised screw impression to receive and retain a screw, and a top plate portion connected to the bottom plate. The screw when in the fastened position is confined between the top and bottom plates as to be isolated from objects contained within the panel and adjacent the nut plate fastener. Three tabs project from the bottom face of the bottom plate and project through the tape which centers the fastener in the panel aperture.
