Abstract: A virtual reality system is disclosed herein. The system includes a viewing device suitable for displaying display information from a virtual reality environment. The system includes a capture device configured to capture a real world activity. Information is received from the capture device related to a real world activity. The information is transmitted to the virtual reality environment generation system for converting the information to a corresponding streaming asset that is embedded into the virtual reality environment for subsequent transmission to an instance of the virtual reality environment on a participant device. Virtual reality environment information is received from the virtual reality environment generation system. The virtual reality environment information corresponds to the position or orientation of a participant asset of a participant that is engaging with the streaming asset. The participant asset is displayed on the viewing device.
