  • Publication number: 20240125361
Abstract: An electro-magnetic coil assembly mounted to a clutch assembly, the electromagnetic coil assembly including a coil mounted within an annular coil housing and a flexible armature plate. The coil assembly adapted to generate an electromagnetic field between the coil and the armature plate for attracting the armature plate to the coil assembly. The flexible armature plate includes an annular plate with an outer edge and an inner edge, the outer edge defining an outer periphery, the inner edge defining an inner periphery. Tangs spaced about the inner periphery extending radially inward from the inner edge. Inner notches spaced about the inner periphery of the annular plate and extending radially outward to a point at least halfway in the radial direction between the inner edge and the outer edge. Outer notches spaced about the outer periphery between and extending radially inward.

  • Patent number: 4971503
Abstract: A molded nail pack for use in an automatic nail gun that has a feeder for delivering nails in sequence into a chamber and a hammer for driving a nail in the chamber into a receiving member. The molded pack includes a plurality of nails that are supported in a spaced apart relationship by a first upper web and second lower web molded integrally with adjacent nails. In a second embodiment of the invention, the nails are connected by a vertically disposed web extending between overlapping heads of adjacent nails in the pack. Each web has a weakened section located so that a nail positioned in the gun chamber separates cleanly from the pack when struck by the gun hammer thereby preventing the gun from becoming jammed.

  • Patent number: 4813540
Abstract: A high impact strength protective seal for packaging reels of magnetic tape, cinematographic film or the like and for storing them in a suspension type storage cabinet has been developed. The seal is of a single piece design, i.e., a molded unitary locking mechanism and annular band, as opposed to the more conventional two piece design of sealing rings for tape reels of the prior art. The protective seal is prepared by injection molding the seal flat from a thermoplastic material. The design of the seal and its locking mechanism allows for the seal to be adjustable in order to accommodate variations in the take up on a particular reel or in variations from reel to reel.
