  • Publication number: 20130073105
Abstract: Systems and methods relating to renewable power notifications to alert consumers when renewable power becomes more available are provided. Specifically, renewable power generation may depend on changing conditions such as weather. As such, a system according to the present disclosure may involve a network interface and a processor, the network interface receiving a message relating to renewable power generation and sending a renewable power notification to a consumer. The processor may run a system that includes a component to detect renewable power availability based at least in part on the message, a component to determine whether to issue the renewable power notification to the consumer based at least in part on the availability of the renewable power generation, and a component to cause the network interface to issue the renewable power notification to the consumer.

  • Publication number: 20110087627
Abstract: Systems and methods may be provided for generating a prediction using neural networks. The system and methods may include training a plurality of neural networks with training data, calculating an output value for each of the plurality of neural networks based at least in part on input evaluation points, applying a weight to each output value based at least in part on a confidence value for each of the plurality of neural networks; and generating an output result.

  • Patent number: 7536364
Abstract: A method and system for performing model-based multi-objective asset optimization and decision-making is provided. The method includes building at least two predictive models for an asset. The building includes categorizing operational historical data via at least one of: controllable variables, uncontrollable variables, output objectives, and constraints. The building also includes selecting at least two output objectives or constraints, and identifying at least one controllable or uncontrollable variable suitable for achieving the at least two output objectives or constraints. The method also includes validating each predictive model and performing multi-objective optimization using the predictive models. The multi-objective optimization includes specifying search constraints and applying a multi-objective optimization algorithm. The method further includes generating a Pareto Frontier, and selecting a Pareto optimal input-output vector.

  • Patent number: 7069173
Abstract: A system and a method for determining an angular position of a rotor and a radial position of the rotor are provided. The rotor has either a slot or a protrusion on the rotor. The rotor is centered about a center point. The method includes generating a first signal utilizing a first sensor disposed proximate the slot or protrusion of the rotor. The method further includes determining a first angular position of the rotor by identifying a first corrupted portion of the first signal. The method further includes removing the first corrupted portion of the first signal to obtain a second non-corrupted position signal. The method further includes determining a first radial coordinate of the center point of the rotor based on the second non-corrupted position signal.
