    Abstract: A wideband power amplifier (PA) linearization technique is proposed. A current interpolation technique is proposed to linearize power amplifiers over a wide bandwidth. The wideband power amplifier linearization technique employs a novel transconductance Gm linearizer using a current interpolation technique that achieves improvement in the third order intermodulation over wide bandwidth for a sub-micron CMOS differential power amplifier. By using a small amount of compensating bias into an opposite phase differential pair, linearization over wide bandwidth is achieved and can be optimized by adjusting the compensating bias.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are drawn to methods and electronic devices capable of performing coordinate spatial reuse for wirelessly transmitting data on a channel in coordination with another wireless AP operating an overlapping BSS using the same wireless channel. The device can perform RSSI measurements and generate Per-RU RSSI reports including the RSSI measurements information for transmission to another wireless AP. The RSSI measurement can be performed by the device based on power levels detected when receiving TB PPDUs transmitted by wireless STAs responsive to trigger frames, for example. Based on the Per-RU RSSI report, a wireless AP can be configured to transmit data to an associated wireless STA without causing significant interference when another AP of the overlapping BSS is also transmitting, and can schedule frames for transmission from associated wireless STAs accordingly.

According to one embodiment, multiple APs agree to collaborate in multi-AP beamforming, transmissions of received PDDUs are measured to determine interference information, the APS generate interference maps, and the APs perform joint and Multi-AP beamforming in a first and second BSS to avoid/mitigate interference of the MAP wireless network. An RTS and CTS frame exchange sequence can be performed prior to Multi-AP beamforming between BSSs using a flag/indicator in the RTS frame to indicate coordinated transmission, or an UL trigger frame can be used to indicate a coordinated UL transmission.

    Abstract: Systems and methods of WLAN communication including efficient spatial reuse mechanisms for relay transmissions between a repeater network and non-AP STAs in OFDMA. The non-AP STAs are grouped based on their connectivity with the individual repeaters and the radio coverage regions of the repeaters. Each group is either a non-overlapping group with the constituent non-AP STAs located in a non-overlapping coverage region of a particular repeater, or an overlapping group with the constituent non-AP STAs located in an overlapping coverage region of two or more repeaters. Based on the grouping, certain RUs (or subchannels) are reused for multiple groups without causing inter-group interference, thereby expanding the bandwidths used in the relay operations. RU allocation based on grouping can be used in combination with transmit power adjustment to achieve efficient spatial reuse in OFDMA.

    Abstract: A power amplifier (PA) linearization technique with a wider linearized power range is proposed. Proposed two types of linearizers with cross-coupled PMOS and NMOS configuration. The idea is to use a complimentary device compared with the PA core device, and the behavior of Cgs of the linearizer are also complimentary to the PA itself. In the other words, the overall Cgs of the PA with the linearizer would be constant without leading to non-linear waveform. Both linearizers can effectively compensate not only AMAM but also AMPM. First type of linearizer can be integrated with PA cores, and second type of linearizer can be used in the IMN. Both linearizers have effective IM3 reduction in different corner.

    Abstract: Mechanisms of CCA status reporting and NAV distribution for coordinated transmissions in a multi-AP WLAN. A coordinator AP may broadcast a RTS frame to a set of coordinated APs, which allow the coordinated APs with a CCA clear status to set a protected period in a CST frame to silence the associated non-AP STAs. The coordinator AP also polls the coordinated APs to have them individually report their CCA statuses as well as additional information used for transmission coordination. In some embodiments, a status report from a coordinated AP may integrate the protected period setting and the CCA clean status indication, and therefore the coordinator AP just needs to poll for such a report without using RTS/CTS exchange. A coordinated AP may set a protected period to end at the complete transmission of a coordination frame. The coordination frame may specify the remaining TXOP duration information.

    Abstract: A method of sounding and feedback with channel quality information and reduced overhead is provided. A receiving station receives a sounding signal transmitted from an access point over multiple sub-channels of a wide channel in a wireless network. The receiving station detects channel quality based on the received sounding signal for each sub-channel. The receiving station then performs channel estimation based on the received sounding signal and thereby determining feedback information. Finally, the receiving station transmits a feedback message to the access point, the feedback message contains NULL feedback information, reduced feedback information, or channel integrity/quality indicators based on the channel quality information for each sub-channel. Based on the feedback message, the access point may repeat the sounding process, narrow the transmission bandwidth, or select only stations who have indicated uncorrupted channel sounding for MU-MMO transmission.
