  • Publication number: 20240093765
Abstract: A movable manufacturing component includes a base structure and a carriage mechanism movable relative to the base structure. The movable manufacturing component further includes a strip seal component arranged between the base structure and the carriage mechanism such that the carriage mechanism moves along the strip seal component as the carriage mechanism moves relative to the base structure. The strip seal component can have at least one guide surface that restricts lateral movement of the strip seal component as the carriage mechanism moves longitudinally along the base.

  • Publication number: 20240093728
Abstract: A linear motion system comprising a first linear track that defines a first linear path, a second linear track that defines a second linear path, and a carriage connected to the first linear track and the second linear track. The system further includes an alignment mechanism configured to allow rotation of the carriage relative to the first linear track. The alignment mechanism includes an upper surface rigidly attached to the carriage, a lower surface mounted on the first linear track, a rotation interface between the upper surface and the lower surface to permit rotation of the carriage relative to the first linear track, and a linear movement interface between the upper surface and the lower surface to permit translational movement of the upper surface relative to the lower surface to permit translational movement of the carriage relative to the first linear track.

  • Publication number: 20230184804
Abstract: Systems and methods provide for detection and controlled interaction with one or more objects. The system can include an imaging subsystem (20), a tool subsystem (26) containing one or more tools, a stage subsystem (16) and a control system (40). The control system (40) can integrate controls for each of the other subsystems, which controls can be implement desired functions over a variety of process parameters to perform the controlled interaction.

  • Publication number: 20090314609
Abstract: An item-conveying device (20) includes a plate assembly (30) having an arm portion (31) and a spatula portion (32) cantilevered therefrom. The spatula portion (32) has at least one gripping opening (36) and a fluid channel (37) extends from the arm portion (31) to the gripping opening(s) (36). Upon connection of the fluid channel (37) to a vacuum source, a suction will be produced at the gripping opening(s) (36) to hold an item against the spatula portion (32).

  • Publication number: 20040083933
Abstract: A linear table includes a slide plate, a base, and pair of bearing assemblies. Each bearing assembly has an inner and outer bearing way, and a rolling element located between the bearing ways. The bearing ways are securely fixed to the slide plate and the base. A precision parallel device and preload fixture are used to align the bearing ways and provide a proper preload on the bearing assemblies without integral preload screws or other preload method, or integral bearing locating shoulders or other such geometry.
