  • Patent number: 12211661
Abstract: A switchgear assembly includes an indicator assembly to indicate whether a movable contact is in an open or a closed position. The indicator assembly includes an indicator body having first and second sections. The indicator body is rotatable to display the first section in the open position and the second section in the closed position. The indicator assembly also includes a drive gear having a first helical spline and coupled to an actuator of the switchgear assembly such that operation of the actuator moves the drive gear, and an elongated driven gear having a second helical spline extending along a length of the driven gear and engaged with the first helical spline of the drive gear such that movement of the drive gear rotates the driven gear. The driven gear is coupled to the indicator body such that rotation of the driven gear causes rotation of the indicator body.

  • Patent number: 12065099
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include systems and methods for securing a rider inside a ride vehicle of an amusement park ride. For example, the disclosed systems and methods include a restraint system (e.g., lap belt, harness, restraint bar (e.g., lap bar, shoulder bar), and the like) that includes a locking mechanism that is activated and deactivated remotely. The remote release locking mechanism includes redundant latches (e.g., a primary latch and at least one secondary, redundant latch) and encompasses a relatively small amount of components housed in a relatively small amount of space.

  • Patent number: 10889952
Abstract: Apparatus for removing debris from channeled water that includes a bar screen assembly. The assembly includes a plurality of spaced apart screen bars, each bar having an upstream edge and a downstream edge and distal ends to which U-shaped clips are attached. Each of the clips has a bar engaging portion and a cross member engaging portion that attaches to an associated cross member. The clips operate to space the trailing edge of the screen bars a predetermined distance from associated cross members and allow easy replacement of a bar. A continuous conveyor carries a plurality of rakes having a plurality of spaced apart tines which are adapted to fit between the screen bars as the rake is moved along the bars by the conveyor. The tines of the rake have a length that substantially spans the distance between the leading edge and trailing edge of a bar, so that tips of the rake tines extend to at least the trailing edge of an associated bar.

  • Patent number: 9254063
Abstract: An insulated container is disclosed. The container has an outer plastic member, an inner plastic member and an insulating, e.g., vacuum space, located therebetween. A vent assembly is located in the outer member in communication with the vacuum space. The vent assembly may be arranged to prevent liquid from entering into the insulating space and may be arranged to equalize the internal pressure within the insulating space and the ambient atmospheric pressures surrounding the outer member, while allowing higher internal pressure within the insulating space to vent to the ambient atmosphere when the container is heated, and to close off to seal the insulating space to maintain the vacuum therein when the container is cooled.

  • Patent number: 8430657
Abstract: An external gear pump including seals, bearings, bushing/seal housings, choke collars and shafts that are all removable for maintenance and/or replacement without removing either endplate or internals from the case assembly. The preferred pump includes four bearing caps that can be removed without removing the pump from its mounted position. By removing the four bearing caps, access is gained inside the pump housing to all of the seals, bearings, bushing/seal housings, choke collars and most importantly, the drive and idler shafts within the pump housing. Further, the two shafts can be slipped out of the pump without disturbing the internal parts and endplates. This capability facilitates maintenance and replacement of major components without removing the pump from its mounted position.

  • Publication number: 20090120507
Abstract: A fluid metering/pumping device preferably includes a series of intermeshing gears. The fluid metering/pumping device includes an inlet port or area adjacent the intermeshing portion of each pair of gears within the series adjacent the point at which the pair of gears diverge. The device further includes a pressure loaded floating shoe adjacent the intermeshing portion of each pair of gears within the series adjacent the point at which the pair of gears converge. The device further includes a piston subjected to discharge pressure at each discharge port which conveys hydraulic pressure to each floating shoe. The device is configured to convey liquid from a main inlet stream of liquid, through the inlet ports or areas, and out of one or more discharge ports at substantially equal rates.

  • Publication number: 20080111088
Abstract: A self-contained non-liquid contacting relief valve adjusting device is easily disassembled from a relief valve preferably by removing a clamp band without the use of wrenches or special tools and separating the device from the relief valve. The adjusting device retains the preset relief valve adjustment when removed, and eliminates the requirement for readjustment of the relief valve by retaining the spring compression in the adjusting device. This feature enables the relief valve adjusting device to be set one time and to retain that setting throughout the life of the relief valve regardless of how many times the relief valve is disassembled for cleaning.

  • Patent number: 4687181
Abstract: A metering valve having a one-piece bonnet for reducing problems resulting from tolerance stack up. A guide portion is included on the nose of the bonnet for cooperation with a valve body bore to ensure concentric alignment between the metering pin and its associated orifice. A pair of O-rings on the valve stem cooperate with the bonnet bore to absorb forces and substantially reduce the potential for galling and breakage of the metering pin. One of the O-rings is compressed to a substantially greater extent than the other to aid in achieving better alignment between the stem and bonnet, and to obtain a firmer feel. A handle is included at the outer end of the valve stem and receives an upper portion of the valve bonnet. A packing is interposed between the handle and valve bonnet upper portion for limiting lateral movement between the handle and valve stem. The packing may be selectively adjusted without altering a preset deadstop position of the valve.
