  • Patent number: 10195883
Abstract: A ribbon supply includes a supply spool and a ribbon material wound onto the supply spool. A tack down bond prevents unwinding of the ribbon material from the supply spool. A leader film extends from the tack down bond, with the leader film having a length that is sufficient to allow installation of the ribbon supply and connection of the leader film to a take-up spool without detaching the tack down bond.

    Assignee: ENTRUST DATACARD CORPORATION
Inventors: Patrick C. Cronin, Arthur J. Paulson, James A. Kalthoff
  • Patent number: 9931874
Abstract: A mounting of a ribbon supply on a re-useable cartridge is described where the mounting is designed so that the supply friction, supply and control of the ribbon supply are substantially independent of the cartridge. When the supply rolls are initially mounted on the cartridge, the supply rolls are frictionally engaged with the cartridge to reduce the tendency for the supply rolls to rotate or move prior to being loaded into the printer, which would loosen the ribbon material by unwinding, thereby reducing slack in the ribbon material. When the cartridge is loaded into a card personalization machine, features on the card personalization machine automatically reduce the frictional engagement between the supply rolls and the cartridge, permitting the supply rolls to rotate substantially freely relative to the cartridge so that the supply friction, supply and control are substantially independent of the cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20060238005
Abstract: An ice fishing sled includes a base, a plurality of side walls, a crossbar, and a seat. The base has a length and a width. The plurality of side walls are connected to the base, and extend generally normal to the base. The plurality of side walls include opposing side wall portions and opposing end wall portions. The crossbar is supported by the opposing end wall portions, and is positioned intermediate the opposing side wall portions. The seat is supported by the crossbar and a first one of the opposing side wall portions. Further disclosed is a method of connecting a wear strip to a sled.

  • Patent number: 5967955
Abstract: An exercise device is provided as a set of inner rails pivotally connected to a slide bar adjustably supported by a vertical support member and a set of outer rails pivotally connected to the set of inner rails at a rail pivot point with a strut pivotally connected to the vertical support member and the rail pivot point. A user support platform is rollable along the inner and outer rails when the inner and outer rails are extended from the vertical support member. Pulley means are connected to the vertical support member and a connector means extends through the pulley means to the user support platform allowing an exerciser positioned on the user support platform to propel the exerciser along the inner and outer rails. The exercise device may include a foot rest at one end of the outer rails allowing for additional exercising. The exercise device may also include a foot harness attached to the connector means to allow for additional exercise use.
