  • Publication number: 20210403225
Abstract: A device for dispensing consumables includes a housing, a drawer, a cap, a latch, and a tooth. The housing may define a volume. The drawer defines a cavity and may be disposed in the volume. The cap may be along the housing. The latch may be securable to hold the cap in a closed position enclosing the volume. In response to a force exceeding a threshold force on the latch, the cap may be movable from the closed position to an open position exposing the volume. The tooth may be mechanically coupled to the latch and, in response to the force exceeding the threshold force on the latch, the tooth may movable in the cavity in a direction directing a consumable unit out of the volume with the cap in the open position.

  • Publication number: 20210201414
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing and distributing market data. Critical data, such as data showing that a market price has changed is distributed without further delay. When the market data does not result in a change in a market price or does not meet another critical criteria, the market data is aggregated with market data for similar events and distributed when the aggregated market data passes a quantity threshold.

  • Publication number: 20210058332
Abstract: Networks, systems and methods for dynamically filtering market data are disclosed. Streams of market data may be buffered or stored in a queue when inbound rates exceed distribution or publication limitations. Inclusive messages in the queue may be removed, replaced or aggregated, reducing the number of messages to be published when distribution limitations are no longer exceeded.

  • Patent number: 10924641
Abstract: Video recording and/or streaming apparatuses (e.g., devices, systems, etc.) and methods of recording and/or streaming video. In particular, described herein are video recording and/or streaming medallion devices. These apparatuses may be worn, for example around a user's neck, and may therefore include a lanyard. Alternatively or additionally, these apparatuses may be handheld.

  • Patent number: 10399477
Abstract: A casket loading and/or unloading apparatus comprises a frame having an end adapted to be pivoted adjacent a rear edge of a bed of a transport vehicle for pivoting about a pivot axis generally transverse to a longitudinal axis of the transport vehicle, and a motion generating device operable between the frame and the transport vehicle for pivoting the frame from a first generally vertical position to a second at least generally horizontal position. A vertically oriented casket in the transport vehicle can be secured to the frame, and the frame with the casket secured thereto can be pivoted from the first generally vertical position to the second at least generally horizontal position to facilitate unloading the casket from the transport vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20190253153
Abstract: Consistent with the present disclosure, a transmitter is provided that include a modulator and a laser. The modulator is driven based on outputs from a digital signal processor (DSP), such that the modulator outputs a modulated optical signal including a plurality of subcarriers. Each subcarrier includes an x pol component and a y pol component, but certain subcarriers may have an effective x pol and y pol rotations compared to other subcarriers. The amount of rotation may be determined by a polarization rotation circuit that supplies inputs to the DSP (alternatively the polarization rotation circuit may be part of the DSP). Accordingly, regardless of the orientation of PDL in an optical link, certain subcarriers may have lower overall Q (a parameter related to the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR)) while others may have a higher Q, such that the average Q over all the subcarriers in a modulated optical signal is higher than if each subcarrier has the same x pol and y pol orientations.

  • Patent number: 10014975
Abstract: An optical system includes a transmitter module and/or a receiver module. The transmitter module is configured to receive input data, map the input data to a set of subcarriers associated with an optical communication channel, independently apply spectral shaping to each of the subcarriers, generate input values based on the spectral shaping of each of the subcarriers, generate voltage signals based on the input values, modulate light based on the voltage signals to generate an output optical signal that includes the subcarriers, and output the output optical signal. The receiver module is configured to receive the output optical signal, convert the output optical signal to a set of voltage signals, generate digital samples based on the set of voltage signals, independently process the digital samples for each of the subcarriers, map the processed digital samples to produce output data, and output the output data.

  • Patent number: 9760949
Abstract: A system mitigates the effects of a market spike caused by the triggering and the election of a conditional order in an automated matching system. The system includes evaluation logic, delay logic, pricing logic and timing logic. The evaluation logic monitors conditional orders submitted to a trading engine and is configured to compare a price of an order to a first predefined price range. The delay logic delays matching of the orders submitted to the trading engine when the price of the orders lie outside of the first predefined price range. The pricing logic derives an opening price to be used by the trading engine. The timing logic measures a time interval used to delay a matching of the orders until the opening price is within a predefined price range up to a maximum delay time set by a control center. A method of mitigating the effect of a market spike caused by the triggering and the election of a conditional order includes monitoring conditional orders submitted to the trading engine.
