Abstract: The track fixture described has an accessory ring hingedly attached to the main portion of the track fixture luminaire. The hinge interposed between the accessory ring and the support ring or luminaire housing allows for both rotational and outward movement such that the accessory ring may be moved outward and away from the lamp and rotate about the support ring without interference between the accessory ring and the support ring or luminaire housing. The two movement hinge design is compact and allows for a clean outer appearance of the track fixture luminaire.

Abstract: Disclosed is a PAR track light fixture having an internal wire way. The PAR track light fixture has an opened ring design separating outer ring which peripherally surrounds the outer edge of the PAR lamp. The ring is separated from the socket cup thereby exposing an outer reflector section of the PAR lamp. In combination with the open ring design of the present invention, it is an internal wire way which encloses all electrical conductivity from the track connector through a stem or blade and supporting arc sections to the socket cup and lamp.

Abstract: The modular track luminaire system of the present invention is a modular lighting system which has a lighting unit which is electronically connected to a remote ballast housing by a removable and reattachable insulated cord and plug system, the luminaire unit electrically connected to the ballast housing through the flexible cord and plug system thereby allowing the entire system to be modularized.

Abstract: An adapter is disclosed which allows the secure installation of a lighting fixture to a lighting track and which lies flush with the face of the track in its locked condition. The adapter includes a pair of wing-like pull down levers pivotably mounted to a base. A resilient retention member is engaged by cam walls extending from the lever so that when the lever is pivoted to a flush, locking position the resilient members are moved transversely outwardly and become wedged against the inner walls of the lighting track, thereby to secure the adapter to the track. The lighting fixture can be locked in a desired horizontal and vertical orientation by the operation of a single actuator arm.

Abstract: Described is an improved electrical connection suitable for track lighting which is comprised of a novel, formed conductive buss structure having a hairpin curve shape cross-section forming a groove for firmly holding a conductive blade to provide physical and electrical integrity of the connection thereby.
