  • Publication number: 20240104603
Abstract: Methods and systems for matching user information between data sets, while preserving data privacy are provided. Some examples relate to matching subsets of users from a first device to subsets of users from a second device, based on a first set of indications and a second set of indications, respectively, to calculate how long it takes for a user to travel to a location of interest, after the user is provided with directed content. A conversion rate may be determined based on how many instances at which a user travels to the location of interest, within a conversion window, after the user is provided with the directed content. The conversion rate may be compared to a baseline conversion rate to determine a change in conversion rate. The change in conversion rate may correspond to an impact of the directed content in causing the user to travel to the location of interest. User data is not shared from the first device to the second device, and vice-versa.

  • Patent number: 9729729
Abstract: A system and method for providing digital data content to a wireless device. Although a fee is typically charged for access to the digital data content, e.g., electronic books, the system and the method provides controlled access to this content for free while the wireless device is accessing the content in a specified location, e.g., a retail location. A content control server receives a request from the wireless device requesting access to the digital data content. The request is received over a secure connection, preferably a virtual private network (VPN). The content control server monitors how much of the digital data content has been provided to the wireless device, and/or an amount of time the wireless device has been accessing the digital data content. This content control server uses this monitored data to control, throttle, the provision of the digital data content to the wireless device.

  • Publication number: 20150169188
Abstract: A system for receiving repeating time intervals may include one or more processors and a memory. The one or more processors may provide, for display, an interface for inputting a time interval that repeats over a period of time. The interface may include a field for inputting the time interval and selectors for indicating a frequency at which the time interval repeats over the period of time. The one or more processors may receive an indication of a first time interval and a first frequency at which the first time interval repeats over the period of time. The first frequency may be indicated exclusively by a selection of one of the selectors. The one or more processors may provide, for display and in response to the receive, a representation of the first time interval and each instance that the first time interval repeats over the period of time.

  • Publication number: 20090143061
Abstract: A handset includes a set of executable instructions associated with an application programming interface (API) as well as a REMO client. Responsive to an indication of a particular application to be executed, the REMO client establishes a communication session over a network connection with a REMO server, on which the requested application is stored. The REMO server remotely invokes a series of API instructions on the handset via the REMO client. Accordingly, the REMO application resides on the REMO server, but can be executed (by way of the REMO client) on the handset without the need for verifying, signing, and downloading a separate application.

  • Patent number: 6136921
Abstract: The present invention provides a coupled polymer, which is prepared by reacting a living alkali metal-terminated polymer with a particular coupling agent. The coupling agent has the formula ##STR1## where R1, R3 are independently selected from the group consisting of aliphatic alkyl and alkenyl, and hydrogen, and R.sub.2 is alkylene, alkenylene, divalent cycloalkylene, divalent arenyl, or a C.sub.1-17 divalent hydrocarbyl containing ether or ketone group. By means of the particular coupling agent, the coupling efficiency is relatively high, and no harmful materials will be generated to corrode the pipes. The coupled polymer obtained has a coupling number of less than 3, and good rubbery physical properties, transparency, and wear resistance.
