In embodiments, the magnet bars are mounted parallel to and on either side of a longitudinal centerline of the carriage such that, when adjacent to the center line and each other, the at least two magnet bars are positioned over the stator coils and are configured to be slidably translated away from the center line of the carriage to a position where the at least two magnet bars are not over the stator coils.

    Abstract: An air delivery system for delivering a pathogen-free airflow can include an air intake manifold, a sterilizer unit with a tank and at least one ultraviolet (UV) unit, a cooling unit with at least one cooling manifold and at least one heat exchange unit, and a user output. The air intake manifold, the tank, the at least one cooling manifold, and a user output can be in fluid communication in that general order. The at least one ultraviolet (UV) unit can be mounted within the tank, with the at least one UV unit configured to generate ultraviolet light to promote killing of pathogens. The at least one heat exchange unit is configured to cool the outbound air flow to a temperature suitable for breathing by a user and to heat an incoming air flow in the air intake manifold.

    Abstract: A remotely controllable sublimation apparatus that includes a crucible block adapted to retain a crucible containing a solid mixture comprising one or more radionuclides, a first heating block comprising one or more first heating elements configured to selectively generate heat having a first temperature sufficient to at least partially sublime the solid mixture, and a collection vessel coupled to the first heating block. The crucible block is movable, relative to the first heating block, between an open position and a closed positon. When the crucible block is in the closed position, the one or more first heating elements are configured to heat the crucible block to the first temperature, thereby heating the solid mixture and producing a vapor that is collected by the collection vessel and leaving a solid residue in the crucible that substantially consists only of the one or more radionuclides.
