  • Patent number: 5507464
Abstract: An article support adapted for adhering to a substrate is described. The article support preferably includes a base member, a stretch release adhesive tape adhered to that base member, and some mechanism for gripping the stretch release adhesive tape. These items are arranged so that when the base member is adhered to the substrate by the stretch release adhesive tape, the base member can be removed by pulling on the gripping means at an acute angle from the surface of the substrate. Gripping means which resist disassociation from the stretch release adhesive tape during the removal of the base from the substrate are disclosed, including handle types. The base member can be generic, suitable for attaching various types of support members via, for example, complimentary dovetail slides. In such cases, provision such as a latch can be made to temporarily lock the support member to the base member.

  • Patent number: 5110843
Abstract: A polyurethane foam comprising a convolution of connected passages and a three dimensional vesicular, porous surface structure, substantially without an outer layer skin is described. An absorbent article is further described comprising a substrate and at least a single layer of the polyurethane foam. The process to produce the polyurethane foam comprises the steps of:(a) coating a substrate with a reaction mixture capable of reacting to form a polyurethane foam;(b) immersing the coated substrate into a liquid bath comprising water and a catalyst, for a time period sufficient to effect reaction of the reaction mixture; and(c) removing the coated substrate from the liquid bath.

  • Patent number: 4624889
Abstract: An aqueous fabric treating composition or sizing has been developed for application on laundered fabrics which provides excellent sizing together with oil and water repellency and improved soil release during laundering. The composition comprises a water soluble sizing, hybrid copolymer containing water-solvatable polar groups and fluoroaliphatic groups, and water. A method of treating fabrics and treated fabrics are also disclosed.
