  • Publication number: 20240106700
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to methods for sending event notifications. In some examples, a controller periodically sends messages concerning a status of an event corresponding to the controller. In some examples, at a first time while periodically sending the messages and in accordance with a determination that the status of the event has changed, the controller sends a message concerning data other than the status of the event. In some examples, at the first time while periodically sending the messages and in accordance with a determination that the status of the event has not changed, the controller continues to periodically send the messages without sending the message concerning data other than the status of the event.

  • Patent number: 7393043
Abstract: A method and system for determining a full open position of a closure member of a motor vehicle that articulates between an open position and a closed position includes a left pinch sensor coupled to the left side of the closure member for sensing a pinch condition on the left side of the closure member and generating a corresponding pinch signal. A right pinch sensor is coupled to the right side of the closure member for sensing a pinch condition on the right side of the closure member and generating a corresponding pinch signal. Left and right gas springs are coupled respectively to the left and right sides of the closure member for assisting in articulating the closure member and each of the gas struts has an extension at an end thereof for compressing their corresponding pinch sensor when the closure member is at its full open position.

  • Patent number: 6732035
Abstract: An adjustable pedal system for a motor vehicle is presented. The system includes an adjustable pedal assembly being movable to at least two pedal positions and an adjustable pedal module, responsive to a pedal command, to control the movement of the adjustable pedal assembly. The pedal module includes a lockout module to disable the movement of the adjustable pedal assembly when a predetermined lockout condition is detected. The pedal module is interconnected through a data bus to at least one of vehicle electronic modules. The predetermined lockout condition is communicated to the adjustable pedal module over the data bus.

  • Publication number: 20020116095
Abstract: A system of verifying the integrity of a data bus for a motor vehicle. The system includes a first module for acknowledging a manual input signal initiated by the motor vehicle occupant. The first module has active and inactive mode. The first module is in inactive mode during its normal condition, and it is activated upon receiving the input signal. The first module transmits a triggering signal to a second module over the data bus. The second module also has active and inactive modes, and it is in inactive mode during the normal condition. The second module is activated upon receiving the triggering signal from the first module, and subsequently transmits a signal back to the first module. The integrity of data bus is verified by the data transfer between first and second modules over the data bus within a predetermined time period.
