Abstract: An occupant-operated motorized vehicle is provided having a motorized front wheel assembly. The vehicle is further provided with an operator controlled lifting structure which aides the occupant in coming to a standing position. The lifting structure includes a linear actuator that is coupled to a clevis, which is in turn coupled to a shaft. Activation of the actuator causes the clevis and therefore the shaft to rotate. Attached to each end of the shaft is a lift lever that extends rearwardly away from the shaft. The end of the lever not attached to the shaft are equipped to be coupled to a support sling that is used to support the occupant and raise the occupant to a standing position. The vehicle is further equipped with a seat to accommodate the occupant in an initial seated position, and at any time that the occupant desires to be in a seated position.

Abstract: A spherical glide securable to a structural leg comprising a first substantially hemispherical half and a second substantially hemispherical half secured together by cooperating interference means on the first half and the second half and further including means for securing the spherical glide to the leg. The cooperating interference means may comprise a circumferential wall extending from a frist half and receivable by re-entrant fit within a recess in the second half.

Abstract: A connector for an elongate member in frame structures such as seating, scaffolding and the like, in which an elongate member is removably secured to another member to extend therefrom in selected angular relation. The connector includes a lug on one member and extending therefrom and shaped to be received inside of a tubular end of a second member with the lug and a partition in the second member having facing surfaces at an angle to a line on which the second member extends from the first member with fastening means drawing the partition toward the lug to clamp the adjacent end of the second member to the first member, the tubular portion of the second member having an opening adjacent the fastening member for access thereto, the engagement of the second member with the lug and first member and the relation of the partition to the lug cooperating to orient and fix the second member relative to the first member.

Abstract: A chair structure comprising a one-piece, loop-shaped tubular frame having a pair of leg structures depending from and supporting the frame. A mesh body support member including a back and seat portion having a plurality of relatively closely interwoven metallic strands, with the strand ends at side and end marginal portions securely connected to the frame. The support member is formed of resiliently flexible mesh material whereby the same elastically yields to the weight of a user, such that the chair back and seat has a small curvature and an attractive appearance and yields tending to conform comfortably to the seated shape of the user.

Abstract: A tandem structure including chairs and the like formed of modular assemblies each comprising a generally horizontal load supporting member, such as a chair seat portion, table top, or the like, mounted in a fastening structure connected to an upper portion of a leg member which has a base portion engageable with a support surface or floor. The modular assemblies are each connected to another for cooperative support by elongated connection members which extend therebetween and each beam member has opposite end portions thereof removably secured to the fastening structure of the respective modular assembly.
