  • Patent number: 12371319
Abstract: The present invention relates, in general, to systems and methods for generating hydrogen from ammonia on-board vehicles, where the produced hydrogen is used as fuel source for an internal combustion engine. The present invention utilizes an electric catalyst unit operating in series with a heat exchange catalyst unit. The electric catalyst unit is used to initiate an ammonia cracking process on-board during a cold start or low load operating condition of the internal combustion engine, where the ammonia cracking process occurs in the heat exchange catalyst unit once exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine has been heated to a threshold temperature suitable to perform the ammonia cracking process.

  • Patent number: 12374537
Abstract: Examples are directed toward collecting, by a LC-MS device, a full scan of ion chromatograms of a sample. The LC-MS device determines observed ions contained in the full scan, based on mass-to-charge ratios (m/z), and determines, for a formation curve of an observed ion, a formation point at which fifty percent of the observed ion has formed. The LC-MS device determines a fragmentation curve of a precursor ion, based on a fragmentation point of the fragmentation curve equivalent to the formation point at which fifty percent of the precursor ion has fragmented, and identifies the precursor ion by referencing the LC-MS library to confirm that the observed ion is a product of the fragmentation of the precursor ion. The LC-MS device indicates a goodness of fit between the fragmentation curve, as observed, and a model fragmentation curve, as stored in the LC-MS library.

  • Publication number: 20250230011
Abstract: This disclosure describes a high speed winch rewind adapter for quickly rewinding a loading strap. In one implementation, the adapter includes a body having a volume sized to at least partially surround an annular end of the winch. The annular end is coupled with a ratchet mechanism of the winch and having at least one hole for receiving a winch bar. A drive connector is positioned both within the volume of the body and external to the volume of the body, the drive connector external to the volume of the body having an external profile to receive a torque, and the drive connector within the volume of the body insertable into the annular end of the winch for alignment to the axis of rotation. A coupling mechanism synchronizes the drive connector to the annular end such that both the drive connector and the annular end rotate simultaneously.

  • Publication number: 20250228603
Abstract: The present disclosure includes an electrosurgical generator that controls treatment energy to be provided in a coagulation mode, where the treatment energy has an adjustable voltage ramp rate which can be set to a ramp rate in a range of voltage ramp rates. The generator receives signals from an instrument over time relating to load impedance. When the load impedance is above a threshold, the generator sets the adjustable voltage ramp rate to a ramp rate in the range of voltage ramp rates, and decreases, at the adjustable voltage ramp rate, a voltage of the treatment energy. When the load impedance is below the threshold, the generator sets the adjustable voltage ramp rate to a ramp rate in the range of voltage ramp rates, and increases, at the adjustable voltage ramp rate, the voltage of the treatment energy.

  • Patent number: 12358787
Abstract: The present invention relates, in general, to systems and methods for generating hydrogen from ammonia on-board vehicles, where the produced hydrogen is used as fuel source for an internal combustion engine along with ammonia. The present invention utilizes ammonia not only as a co-fuel for the engine, but also as a heat-exchange medium used by a cooling system for the internal combustion engine, such that the heat is transferred from hot engine coolant to the ammonia, thereby cooling the engine coolant, and also pre-heating the ammonia.

  • Patent number: 12357957
Abstract: The present invention relates, in general, to a system and method for focusing gas distribution through at least one three-dimensionally (3D) printed lattice heating elements within an electric catalyst unit to promote ammonia dissociation. The present invention allows gaseous ammonia to be continuously heated under turbulence as it flows through non-linear paths within a 3D printed lattice heating element. The lattice structure of the heating element provides a balance between surface area and heat dissipation, allowing the heating elements to reach a suitable temperature to perform ammonia dissociation, but which are not oversaturated with heat which could result in failure or melting of the heating element.

  • Publication number: 20250221503
Abstract: A male touch fastener product has an array of discrete fastening elements extending from a resin base. The elements are formed by molding stems and then deforming at least a rim of a distal end of each head to form an overhanging mushroom-type fastener element. Some are deformed against a hard surface to form flat fastener elements, and others are deformed against a compliant surface and form umbrella-shaped fastener elements. The fastener element heads feature particular structural relationships that enhance their performance, particularly with low-lying fibers.
