  • Patent number: 11974412
Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for managing a processing load of a processing module and thermal energy produced by the processing load. In one example, a method includes identifying a hot water profile that contains usage information of hot water from a hot water tank that serves as a heat sink for the thermal energy. A determination may be made as to whether it is economically desirable to increase or decrease the processing load based on factors such as an economic value generated by the processing load, a cost of energy needed to support the processing load, and an economic value of the thermal energy transferred to the hot water tank based on the hot water profile. The processing load may be dynamically modulated by a local or remote controller in response to the economic desirability of increasing or decreasing the processing load as well as other possible parameters.

  • Patent number: 11936727
Abstract: Systems and methods for multiplexing of a dedicated communication channel for multiple entities, including initiating, at a first entity, a request to share data with a second entity; sharing a portion of an aggregate record for the with the second entity including creating an entity-specific copy; initiating, at the first entity, a request to share data with a third entity; and sharing a portion of the aggregate record with the third entity including creating an entity-specific copy. The portions shared with the second and third entities are dependent on data sharing rules defining shared data, linked data, and entity-specific data that is i) nonsynchronous and ii) provided for display only at the entity associated with the data.

  • Patent number: 6585044
Abstract: A novel method, system and tool for performing formation and well evaluation while drilling are disclosed. These inventions determine the properties of a particular formation within a reservoir as the reservoir is being intersected during well construction. In one form of the invention, the formation evaluation is made using a direct measurement of the formation's ability to flow fluids. The flow potential of a reservoir during underbalanced well construction is determined as the well is being constructed. The methods produce an understanding of the volumes and types of fluids such as oil, gas, and/or water, that can be produced out of discrete sections of a formation within a reservoir as the reservoir is intersected.

  • Patent number: 5458192
Abstract: A real-time matrix evaluation method based on the line-source solution to the radial-flow transient well testing problem. Skin factor is calculated directly from the bottomhole pressure response based on a number of known input parameters for the well being treated.

  • Patent number: 5238225
Abstract: A method of pulling electrical cable through an underground tubular conduit includes providing a backhoe with a boom and positioning the backhoe outside of the electrical housing building. The operator mounts a pulley to the end of the boom and inserts the boom into an open portal. The operator mounts a take-up reel to the backhoe and reeves the pull line through the pulley and around the take-up drum. Rotating the backhoe wheel will pull the electrical cable secured to the pull line through the conduit. The take-up drum utilizes inner and outer support flanges and drum bolts for extending through holes provided in the backhoe wheel.

  • Patent number: 4648761
Abstract: A method of efficiently removing material from a workpiece of difficult-to-machine materials. The Z axis machining includes the steps of using a center cutting end mill and forming multiple cylindrical holes having tangent diameters and predetermined depths. Said holes, when formed, leave posts that, when viewed in plan, form stars and cusps. Said stars are then removed by reciprocal movement of said end mill along its Z axis and cusps removed by Z axis machining and/or conventional end milling.
