    Abstract: A dispensing and application apparatus designed to contain pre-measured amounts of a flowable substance. The apparatus comprises a compartment 130 for storing the substance that is partially enclosed by a frangible seal 210, an applicator 100, and an expandable chamber 170 designed to accept and dissipate the hydraulic force created when pressure is applied to the compartment 130, rupturing the frangible seal 210, and expelling the substance into the chamber 170. The applicator 100 is attached to the chamber 170 with an applicator bond area 180. The expandability of the chamber 170 is conferred by expandability of the applicator 100, and is varied in different embodiments by altering the ratio between the area of the applicator bond area 180 and the area of the applicator 100. The frangible seal 210, in one of many embodiments, may be a chevron shape stress riser 250 with a point of inflection 260 oriented towards the compartment 130. A removable cap may cover the applicator.

    Abstract: An improved power actuated antenna installation, particularly for automotive vehicles, of the type including a mast jacket rigidly attached to body structure of the vehicle, a telescoping antenna disposed on the mast jacket, a power actuator disposed on an L-shaped housing with a first leg parallel to the mast jacket and a second leg below the mast jacket, and a flexible drive element projecting into the mast jacket through a guide bushing at the lower end thereof for attachment to the antenna and into the second leg of the housing for attachment to the actuator, the improvement residing in the provision of elastomeric grommets between a pair of pins on the mast jacket and a pair of rigid arms on the first leg of the housing and in the provision of a combination seal and grommet between the drive element and housing generally immediately below the mast jacket, the grommets and the combination seal and grommet effecting resilient support of the actuator on the mast jacket in a manner discouraging transmission

    Abstract: An antenna mount for a retractable antenna has a collapsible spacer to permit the antenna mount to conform to the shape of the surface to which the antenna is mounted. The collapsible spacer has a plurality of cantilever springs formed thereon which permit one end of the spacer to angulate relative to the centerline of the spacer while the spacer collapses in a direction generally parallel to the centerline thereof without significant change in the diameter of the spacer.
