Patent number: 9675215Abstract: A shower door assembly includes a wall member, a door and a hinge assembly. The wall member is configured to be coupled to a fixed portion of a bathing enclosure. The door is pivotably coupled to the wall member by the hinge assembly, and the door is positioned such that at least a portion of the door overlaps with at least a portion of the wall member when the door is in a closed position. The door is configured to pivot about a pivot axis relative to the wall member between an opened position and a closed position. The door is also configured to translate in a direction normal to the pivot axis to selectively adjust a relative distance between a side edge of the door and a side edge of the wall member such that the door fits in a door opening of the bathing enclosure.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2014Date of Patent: June 13, 2017Assignee: KOHLER CO.Inventors: Roque M. Patent number: 5417272Abstract: A pivotal and extendable bathing door unit is disclosed wherein a first panel is pivotally connected to a supporting wall, and a second panel is extendably connected to the first panel, so that the door can operate to enclose without an overhead track. There are roller tracks and rollers cross-linked to each other while permitting lateral relative movement therebetween. In one form, cam members are associated with the pivotal connection of the first panel to provide a lifting action between bistable positions, and a magnetic member is connected to a handle on the second panel for attraction to a similar second panel of a second similar door unit.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 1993Date of Patent: May 23, 1995Assignee: Sterling Plumbing Group, Inc.Inventors: James L. Patent number: 4887394Abstract: An adjustment apparatus for supporting a slidable door is disclosed that has a bar-like pivotable frame member. A pair of track followers, such as rollers, are mounted adjacent the ends of the frame member. A door has upper and lower edges, and opposite side edges. The upper door edge is pivotally connected to a central portion of the pivot frame member. A pair of stems are pivotally fastened to the frame member adjacent the ends of the frame member. Each stem is also mounted in a sliding relationship with respect to the side edges of the door. In this way, the frame member can pivot with respect to the upper door edge. When installing the slidable door, this pivot action allows the door to be flush against the frame structure, even though the wall or frame may be out-of-plumb. Final adjustment of the apparatus simply requires tightly fastening a central bolt and at least one screw.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 1989Date of Patent: December 19, 1989Assignee: Sterling Plumbing Group, Inc.Inventor: James L. Patent number: 4594475Abstract: An electrical insulating bushing for conversion between various current ratings and characterized by a tubular column including an insulating portion, a tubular conductor extending through the column and connected to terminals at the top and bottom of the column, and another conductor disposed within the tubular conductor and connected to the terminal at the top of the column. In order to convert the bushing to a different current rating, a replacement conductor is provided which can be substituted for the conductor within the tubular conductor. The replacement conductor and tubular conductor are electrically connected together in spaced alignment near the bottom terminal by a conductive annulus and a coil spring.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 1984Date of Patent: June 10, 1986Assignee: Westinghouse Electric Corp.Inventors: Dennis C.
