  • Publication number: 20240106865
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods that allow for secure access to websites and web-based applications and other resources available through the browser. Also described are systems and methods for invocation of a secure web container which may display data representative of a requesting party's application at a user's machine. The secure web container is invoked upon receipt of an API call from the requesting party. Thus, described in the present specification are systems and methods for constructing and destroying private, secure, browsing environments (a secure disposable web container), insulating the user and requesting parties from the threats associated with being online for the purposes of providing secure, policy-based interaction with a requesting party's online services.

  • Publication number: 20120143592
Abstract: An input is received with a communication device. The input has a predetermined code that initiates a communication through the communication device. Further, the predetermined code is transmitted from the communication device to a telecom carrier device. The telecom carrier device recognizes the predetermined code and routes the communication from the communication device to a dedicated telephone number for a live language interpretation system associated with the predetermined code. The live language interpretation system provides a live language interpretation service through a language interpreter.

  • Patent number: 8023626
Abstract: A method and system of providing a language interpretation service is disclosed. A language access number, such as an 811 number, can be provided. The language access number can be used to place a telephone call to a language interpretation service for language assistance. A language access telephone call is received at the language interpretation service provider from a caller speaking a first language. The caller places the language access telephone call by dialing the language access number. The caller has at least one business need. The first language is identified so as to provide the customer with an interpreter that can translate between a first language and a second language. The interpreter can be associated with the language interpretation service provider. The interpreter can telephonically engage an agent representing a merchant that can serve the at least one business need of the caller.

  • Patent number: 7792276
Abstract: A method and system of providing language interpretation for a merchant are disclosed. An incoming telephone call from a customer speaking a first language is received at a language interpretation service. The customer is greeted in the first language by an interpreter associated with a language interpretation provider. The interpreter telephonically engages a first agent representing the merchant, wherein the first agent speaks a second language and the interpreter translates a conversation between the customer and the first agent. Once the translation is completed, the first agent is disconnected from the call. Next, if the customer elects to be connected to a business partner of the merchant, the interpreter telephonically engages a second agent representing the business partner. The second agent speaks the second language and the interpreter translates a conversation between the customer and the second agent.

  • Patent number: 5873583
Abstract: An in-line roller skate has a forward control wheel 32 positioned above the surface on which the skate is supported by intermediate wheels 34 and 36. The forward control wheel 32 occasionally contacts the surface during normal skating motion and rotates freely when the skater exerts forward motion through the wheel to the surface. When the skater tilts the skate forward to place the forward control wheel into contact with the surface and exerts rearward forces through the forward wheel to the surface, the bearing assembly 33 of the forward wheel locks the wheel against counterclockwise rotation and enables the skater to apply additional thrusting forces to the surface. A rearward control wheel 38 operates in reverse fashion to provide the skater with braking forces.

  • Patent number: 4366370
Abstract: A portable oven for baking a motor or generator armature or other electrical winding mounted on a shaft for use in a process for cleaning and reinsulating the armature without removing the shaft from the operating environment. The oven is formed in the shape of a closed, hollow cylinder which encloses the armature and is supported by the armature shaft. The shaft is suspended horizontally on rotating hubs and moved longitudinally to project the armature out of the motor/generator casing. Support collars are attached to the shaft on either side of the armature. Wedge-shaped sections are attached to the collars to form circular ends of the cylindrical oven. Arcuate-shaped body members are attached between the ends to enclose a cylindrical surface. Each body member is furnished with heaters and perforated baffles for evenly heating the armature. An air inlet is formed in one of the wedge-shaped end sections and an air outlet is formed in one of the arcuate-shaped body members.

  • Patent number: 4261198
Abstract: A gear train device for changing the angular relationship of an input gear relative to an output gear is disclosed. A pair of meshing gears to be checked are attached to the input and output gears to rotate therewith. By changing the angular relationship between the input gear and the output gear while the gear train is rotating, the gears to be checked are caused to contact the mating gear along a first tooth face while the angular relationship between the input gear and the output gear is urged in a first direction, and then the gears are caused to mesh along a second face when the output shaft is caused to move in an angular relationship to the input shaft in a second direction. By coating one of the gears to be checked with a material easily removed by rubbing, the gear profiles can be checked by measuring the amount of coating transfer between gears.

  • Patent number: 4209902
Abstract: An improved apparatus for cutting vegetation which is especially adapted to be employed with units having a top mounted gasoline motor interconnected by a drive tube to a lower rotating cutting head. An accessory handle is carried adjacent the motor. A housing carried on the lowermost drive tube encloses bearings and provides a journal for the cutting head. An actuator housing bolts to the housing and interfits for rigid support. A mechanical line feeder on the cutting head is operated by an actuating lever carried on the accessory handle through an interconnecting control cable. Reciprocation of the control lever operates the mechanical line feeder so that a predetermined length of cutting line is extended from the cutting head during rotation without interrupting cutting.
