  • Patent number: 10967221
Abstract: A device and method for monitoring exercise performance and configured to be worn on a limb of a user. The device includes a position determining module configured to generate position data for a present exercise session of the user utilizing one or more signals; a motion sensor configured to detect motion of the device and generate motion data; and a processor. The processor is operable to calculate at least one of speed, pace, and distance of the device; calculate a limb motion of the user to obtain limb motion data throughout the present exercise session; determine whether an inaccurate interval is present during the present exercise session; obtain a matching interval; and replace at least one of the speed, pace, and distance data during the inaccurate interval with a corresponding at least one of speed, pace, and distance data of the matching interval.
