  • Publication number: 20240152245
Abstract: A computer system displays a first object that includes at least a first portion of the first object and a second portion of the first object and detects a first gaze input that meets first criteria, wherein the first criteria require that the first gaze input is directed to the first portion of the first object in order for the first criteria to be met. In response, the computer system displays a first control element that corresponds to a first operation associated with the first object, wherein the first control element was not displayed prior to detecting that the first gaze input met the first criteria, and detects a first user input directed to the first control element. In response to detecting the first user input directed to the first control element, the computer system performs the first operation with respect to the first object.

  • Patent number: 5644394
Abstract: A system for repairing damaged airfoils for gas turbine engines includes a plurality of rigid attachment tools. Each attachment tool is individually shaped to access a leading edge of the damaged airfoil of a particular stage of the gas turbine engine. The attachment tools enable repair of the damaged airfoils without disassembling of the gas turbine engine.

  • Patent number: 5458088
Abstract: A grooming portal for being connected with an interior door of a dwelling composed generally of an arch shaped decorative frame which is mounted with respect to an arch shaped opening cut in the interior door contiguous the bottom end thereof and a brush having a flexible backing removably mounted to the frame. When mounted to the frame, the brush provides a plurality of bristles which face radially toward, and project into, the passageway defined by the grooming portal. The frame is decorative, thereby enhancing the look of the interior door. The flexible backing frictionally and/or snappingly fits into the frame and is as wide as the door thickness so as to provide an interior framing for a hollow core or a solid core interior door. A preferred flexible backing material is plastic. It is preferred for the flexible backing to be adjustably mountable to the frame to thereby accommodate the particular size of the user's pet.

  • Patent number: 5148512
Abstract: A hand-held hair dryer includes a shroud surrounding an electric heater and defining a passage for delivery of blown air from a blower to a heated air exhaust opening at an end of the shroud. The shroud is provided with a plurality of smaller air exhaust orifices adjacent to and/or forward of the heater upstream of the air exhaust opening. The orifices are arranged in one or more rows and each orifice is associated with a metallic secondary heat transfer means for improving transfer of heat to the exterior of the shroud. The part of the shroud containing the orifices may be rotatable about the circumference of the shroud to change the direction of air flow. The heat transfer means may comprise a single metal plate containing the plurality of orifices or an individual metallic member associated with each orifice.

  • Patent number: 4335513
Abstract: In combination with a chain saw having a housing and an endless cutting chain supported by the housing, an elongated bar, apparatus for pivotally mounting the bar with respect to the housing so that, in a lowered position thereof, the bar extends in the plane of the cutting chain substantially parallel to the chain, apparatus for biasing the bar toward the lowered position, a stop member for maintaining a predetermined spacing between the bar in its lowered position and the cutting chain where the spacing is open to facilitate viewing of the cutting chain in operation and apparatus for pivoting the bar from its lowered position to a raised position to facilitate undercut operations.

  • Patent number: 4086546
Abstract: An attenuator, which can readily provide balanced as well as unbalanced attenuation in a plurality of external circuits, includes first and second circuit substrate devices and an actuating device associated with the circuit substrate devices. The first and second circuit substrate devices each provide variable magnitudes of attenuation to respective ones of the external circuits such as, for example, signal transmission lines. The actuating device couples the first in the alternative, and second circuit substrate devices simultaneously or the first and second circuit substrate devices separately to their respective external circuits so as to produce desired magnitudes of balanced or unbalanced attenuation in the external circuits.

  • Patent number: 4086547
Abstract: A switchable attenuator assembly includes a housing, a plurality of rocker arms mounted for pivotable movement within the housing, and a pair of shorting bars associated with each rocker arm. Each shorting bar of the pair of shorting bars associated with each rocker arm is coupled to a respective end of the rocker arm and is aligned with electrical connectors which extend from an attenuator circuit aligned with and adjacent to the housing. The rocker arms are selectively pivoted to cause the shorting bars coupled thereto to move into and out of engagement with their respective electrical connectors to provide attenuation of selected magnitudes to an external circuit.

  • Patent number: 4085998
Abstract: An integral connector includes first and second electrical clips and a conductive stem extending from the clips. A pair of laterally spaced resilient fingers formed at one end of the stem cooperate with a central finger aligned with and opposite to a space between the pair of reslient fingers to form the first electrical clip. Another resilient finger extends laterally from an intermediate portion of the stem and cooperates with the underside of laterally extending portions of the pair of resilient fingers to form the second electrical clip. An interconnection can be established between two electrical devices by inserting the devices into the first and second electrical clips, respectively. The interconnected electrical devices can be coupled to external circuitry by connection to the opposite end of the conductive stem.
