  • Patent number: 5641071
Abstract: A convertible vibratory material separating apparatus, and kits to convert the apparatus to a woven-screen or finger-rod upper separating surface. The separating apparatus includes a universal shaker head adapted for vibratory movement within a frame with a tall and short end. The shaker head includes side plates and a centerplate, and removable support rails or plates when the shaker head is converted to finger-rod combs for a separating surface. The shaker head includes flanges on a lateral support tube enclosing an eccentric motor driven shaft and flanges when the shaker head is converted to a woven-screen upper separating surface. The kits include right angle flanges, bars and plates for conversion of the shaker head with woven-screens or combs of finger-rods.

  • Patent number: 5082555
Abstract: An improved soil feeder system in combination with a soil separating apparatus and method of controlling the feeding of soil material employing the soil feeder. The soil feeder apparatus including a hopper body having included walls and flat bottom surface to define a hopper space to receive soil material and characterized by an opening at one end for controlling the feeding of soil materials to be screened. The body includes a funnel shaped walls to direct the soil material inwardly into the hopper body, as hydraulic cylinder at the one end to tilt the hopper body between a soil receiving position and a tilted soil discharging position.

  • Patent number: 4998625
Abstract: A riprap separation apparatus and method which riprap apparatus comprises a frame having an open space within the frame, an upper grizzly section composed of a tiltable upper grizzly section having a plurality of fixed, spaced apart bar elements so that riprap material discharged onto the grizzly section is separated into a large size material and a smaller size material which passes through the bar elements and a downwardly angled discharge chute to receive the larger size material and to deposit the large size material to one side of the apparatus. The apparatus includes a support section disposed to be within an earthen sloped access ramp to provide support for the apparatus and with the ramp to provide for the movement of vehicles to discharge riprap material into the grizzly section.

  • Patent number: 4256572
Abstract: A portable loam screening apparatus includes a nearly-square, sloping shaker screen supported by a box-like frame. The frame has a tall end and a short end joined by two sides. Funneling surfaces directed toward the screen are provided along the upper edges of the tall end and the sides. A mixture of coarse material and finer material is dumped onto the shaker screen from the shovel of an excavating vehicle. The coarse material falls from the lower end of the shaker screen outside of the frame, and the finer material passes through the shaker screen to within the box-like frame. The separated finer material is directed to an outfeed conveyer by a hopper or feed conveyor within the frame. The outfeed conveyor extends through one of the sides. A set of wheels mounted to one side of the frame is movable relative to the frame from an operative position for transporting the apparatus to an inoperative position for resting the frame flush on the ground.

  • Patent number: 4237000
Abstract: Relatively fine materials are separated from bulky materials by a two-tier screen assembly mounted on springs and shaken by an off balance drive. The screen assembly spans the space between two parallel plates which are joined by staggered crossbeams. An upper screen is supported by longitudinal bars which rest across upper crossbeams, and two lower screens rest on lower crossbeams. The crossbeams are joined by a longitudinal center plate. In use, the forces of heavy weights tending to bend a given crossbeam are transmitted through the center plate to the joined crossbeams to reduce the strain on the single beam.

  • Patent number: 4197194
Abstract: A portable loam screening apparatus includes a nearly-square sloping shaker screen supported by a box-like frame. The frame has a tall end and a short end joined by two sides. Funneling surfaces directed toward the screen are provided along the upper edges of the tall end and the sides. The short end is closed to provide a wall between separated loam and coarse material. A mixture of loam and coarse material is dumped onto the shaker screen from the shovel of an excavating vehicle. The coarse material falls from the lower end of the shaker screen outside of the frame, and the loam passes through the shaker screen to within the box-like frame. The separated loam falls down a sloping table within the frame and can then be retrieved by an excavating vehicle through the open tall end of the frame. A set of wheels mounted to one side of the frame is moveable relative to the frame from an operative position for transporting the apparatus to an inoperative position for resting the frame flush on the ground.
