  • Patent number: 6256891
Abstract: A light duty electric reciprocating handsaw includes a body assembly having a throat therein, a removably and reciprocally attached saw blade within the body assembly spanning the opening of the throat so that any workpiece that fits inside the throat can be cut across its width. The handsaw is either electrically or battery operated and includes an electric motor mounted within the body assembly, the weight of the motor being generally distributed over the saw blade. Preferably, the throat of the body assembly is generally defined by an upside down U-shaped configuration for receiving the workpiece therein after cutting with the saw blade. A balance of the weight is located generally over the saw blade, with the remainder of the weight of the unit being distributed generally evenly throughout the rest of the handsaw such that the operator will experience an aid in cutting the workpiece through the force of gravity.

  • Patent number: 4629273
Abstract: A cable connector assembly has a body portion having first and second functional ends with first and second openings respectively formed therein, a passage extends through the body portion and terminates at its opposite ends respectively in the first and second openings, an electrical cable extends through the passage and the first and second openings, a first retainer for operatively securing a first portion of the electrical cable passes through the first opening to the first functional end, and a second retainer for operatively securing a second portion of the electrical cable passing through the second opening to the second functional end, the respective axes of the first and second portions of the electrical cable being at an angle with respect to each other of a magnitude generally in the order of 75.degree..

  • Patent number: 4582281
Abstract: A flexible support and carrier assembly for supporting an associated accessory is shown as having a plurality of sequentially arranged body-like segments, the segments are arranged with respect to each other for articulated motion as between adjacent segments, the plurality of sequentially arranged body-like segments define an elongated articulated structure having first and second ends, a spring operatively carried by the articulated structure resiliently resists while permitting articulated motion as between adjacent segments to occur in a first direction of articulation, the spring also resiliently urges the adjacent segments to experience articulated motion in a second direction of articulation opposite to the first direction.
