  • Publication number: 20190270654
Abstract: Disclosed are activated carbon electrodes fabricated according to a “pore mouth diameter mixture profile” that is optimized for a given electrochemical application. In a given pore mouth diameter mixture profile, the pore mouth diameter and conductivity of activated carbon are tightly controlled and provide unexpected long-term charging/discharging (aka “cycling”) performance. A given “pore mouth diameter mixture profile” optimizes a mixture of pore mouth diameters for a given electrochemical application, such as energy storage, desalination, deionization, hydrolysis, and dialysis, inter alia.

  • Publication number: 20150166372
Abstract: An electrode is provided which includes a xerogel sheet coated with a silica film. A method for producing the electrode includes steps of infiltrating a carbon cloth with a solution containing resorcinol and formaldehyde, polymerizing the solution infiltrated carbon cloth, subjecting the infiltrated and polymerized carbon cloth to a solvent-exchange process, carbonizing the carbon cloth and coating the carbonized carbon cloth with a silica film.

  • Patent number: 7904542
Abstract: A probe device tests a broadband wireless system. The probe device receives an instruction to execute a plurality of tests. The probe device then executes the plurality of tests to measure performance of the broadband wireless communication system based on the instruction. The probe device determines performance information from the plurality of tests. The probe device stores the performance information in a memory of the probe device.

  • Patent number: 7843963
Abstract: A probe device in a broadband wireless system receives a message and processes the message to determine channel information that indicates performance of channels in the broadband wireless system. The probe device then stores the channel information in a memory in the probe device. In some embodiments, the probe device determines a state of one of the channels. In some embodiments, the states are polling, dedicated, or idle.
