Abstract: A method for operating a jetting module includes applying to a drop forming mechanism a sequence of drop formation waveforms in which a small-drop waveform applied after another identical small-drop waveform causes a small drop of volume Vs to be formed; applying a large-drop waveform after another identical large-drop waveform causes a large drop of volume VL to be formed, and applying a large-drop waveform adjacent to a small-drop waveform can be done in a way that produces a large drop having a volume VL2, where VL2 is different than VL and a small drop of volume VS2, where VS2 is different than Vs.

Abstract: Imaging elements, such as photographic, electrostatographic and thermal imaging elements, are comprised of a support, an image-forming layer and an electrically-conductive layer comprising electronically-conductive fine particles, such as antimony-doped tin oxide particles, and gelatin-coated water-insoluble polymer particles. The use of gelatin-coated water-insoluble polymer particles as a binder in the electrically-conductive layer facilitates the preparation of stable coating compositions and provides a layer with a high degree of conductivity at low concentrations of electronically-conductive fine particles and with excellent abrasion resistant properties.

Abstract: Imaging elements, such as photographic films and papers, are comprised of a support, an image-forming layer and at least one auxiliary layer containing solvent-dispersible polymer particles. The auxiliary layer having been formed from a coating solution comprising a continuous liquid organic medium having dispersed therein lubricant impregnated core/shell polymer particles, the polymer particles comprising a core portion which is insoluble in the organic medium and a shell portion which has an affinity for both the core portion and the organic medium.
