    Abstract: The invention is a system and method for managing and processing workers' compensation claims. After enrolling in the system, all communications regarding the reporting of a workplace injury pass through a management system on a computer server. The server tracks claims between different entities, including the policy holder, medical providers and third party administrators, and provides notifications of the existence and status of claims between the different entities. The server also compiles data from multiple claims in order to assess the efficiency of a workers' compensation policy. Recommendations and training may be provided based upon the server's analysis of the compiled data.

    Abstract: A system and methodology for human behavior modification or maintenance implemented by electronic two way communication between a host computing device with software adapted to the task, and a user. The system employs collected data regarding user identity, availability, and behavior, and generates a customized program of sequential events during identified user available time segments on a plurality of days. The events are constantly re-allotted to the available time in given daily time segments through a feedback acknowledgment from the user subsequent to communications sent to the user about an event. This results in a constantly updated program based on user responses which continually adjusts for the remaining time in the time segment on any day during the program.

    Abstract: A television schedule system and method for displaying television schedule information on a television screen includes a program guide having a schedule information area that depicts the programs that are being presented on each channel at each time during the day. An input device allows the viewer to browse through the schedule information area and/or obtain more information about programs of particular interest. In one aspect, the viewer may watch a program on the currently-tuned channel, while browsing through the other channels on a portion of the television screen. In another aspect, the viewer may watch programs currently being shown on the television, while he or she browses through the program guide. In yet another aspect, the system includes a database, a processor and associated software for automatically customizing the television schedule guide to an individual viewer or a group of viewers, e.g., a family, to facilitate use of the television schedule.

    Abstract: A method for the easy input and operation of computing devices and electronic devices with limited space for input components. The method allows for a plurality of input functions using only two buttons in a method of contextual navigation. The two buttons provide numerous input functions which are continually graphically displayed such that the user can always discern the action which will occur when one or both buttons are depressed. Different functions occur with the pressing of each one of the buttons yielding two functions whereas pressing both buttons for a short period yields a third function. Additional utility is provided through the use of voice commands which may be associated data upon voice communication. A third button facilitates the entering and retrieval of voice data. Text may be entered using the method and is enhanced by prediction of input characters from a grid of characters selectable using the buttons.

    Abstract: Customer requirements for portable computers are grouped into logical functional groupings, which are further grouped into logical bandwidth levels. On the notebook side, all required signals for a specific logical functional grouping are combined into a single carrier with the necessary bandwidth for the signals within the logical bandwidth level. This combined signal is then passed through a docking connector. The individual signals are regenerated on the docking solution side of the connector. Logic on both the notebook and docking solution sides of the connector enables the respective devices to identify which carrier bandwidths are supported on both sides of the docking connector and settle on the greatest common denominator. Additionally, the signals combined into the carrier can be programmed, in which case the docking solution and the notebook negotiate the features that are and are not supported in each individual case.
