  • Patent number: 11598628
Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring displacements at the picometer level are provided. A system can include a Michelson interferometer having a fixed arm and a measurement arm. As the length of the measurement arm changes, the output supplied to the interferometer from a variable wavelength light source is changed until the intensity of the resulting inference pattern is maximized. The wavelength of the light at the point the interference pattern is maximized is then measured by mixing light from the light source with the output from a frequency comb generator. The resulting frequency measurement is then converted to a length measurement.

  • Patent number: 10125501
Abstract: The present invention relates to a polymeric cove base support for installation where flooring meets a wall, comprising extruded straight portions and molded exterior corner and end portions. The cove base support comprises an upper wall portion, a lower toe portion and an intermediate curved or concave cove. The wall portion is substantially perpendicular to the toe portion. The curved cove comprises an outer cove surface for facing the wall-floor interface and a spaced apart inner curved cove surface facing the room when installed. The spacing between the two curved coves for the straight portion creates an open area, where the open area includes a supporting or reinforcing bar juxtaposed between the curves, preferably positioned perpendicular between the two curve coves in the center region of the open area, and extending the length of the cove base.

  • Patent number: 5824249
Abstract: A method for fabricating molded parts utilizing a plurality of mold details having respective molding surfaces defining respective contours. The method selecting a first group of the mold details and disposing the selected mold details adjacent to one another in a first predetermined spatial relationship so that the molding surfaces of the selected mold details are contiguous, to define a first molding cavity for producing a first desired molded part. A hardenable polymeric material is injected into the molding cavity and hardened to form the desired molded part. Various combinations of mold details can be assembled to produce multiple parts in a common mold frame.
