  • Publication number: 20230385687
Abstract: Approaches for training data set size estimation for machine learning model systems and applications are described. Examples include a machine learning model training system that estimates target data requirements for training a machine learning model, given an approximate relationship between training data set size and model performance using one or more validation score estimation functions. To derive a validation score estimation function, a regression data set is generated from training data, and subsets of the regression data set are used to train the machine learning model. A validation score is computed for the subsets and used to compute regression function parameters to curve fit the selected regression function to the training data set. The validation score estimation function is then solved for and provides an output of an estimate of the number additional training samples needed for the validation score estimation function to meet or exceed a target validation score.

  • Patent number: 11822564
Abstract: A system for interfacing with a meta-database representing data from a plurality of source databases. A key variable repository module operably couples the databases and includes an AI program with a scanner algorithm and a profiler algorithm. The scanner algorithm receives the source data from a source interface, compresses the data, and synchronizes the data with the meta-data using a meta-database interface. The profiler algorithm receives the meta-data from the meta-database interface, generates granular data types for the meta-data, determines variables indicative of the meta-data, generates variable probability distributions, produces variable associations, and modifies the meta-database to include the probability distributions and associations using the meta-data interface.

  • Patent number: 11822033
Abstract: Methods and systems for implementing and utilizing radiometric characterization in combination with reference material characterization of an optical sensor to more accurately and efficiently measure material properties are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method for for optically measuring material properties includes an optical sensor being radiometrically characterized based on measured optical responses. A model is generated and includes model components of the optical sensor. A parameterized model is generated by fitting n variable parameters of the model components using the optical responses. The optical sensor is utilized to measure an optical response to a reference material and a re-parameterized model is generated by re-fitting m of the n variable parameters of the model components based, at least in part, on the measured optical response to the reference material, wherein m is less than n.

  • Publication number: 20230357763
Abstract: Morpholino antisense oligos (Morpholinos) are a class of synthetic non-ionic molecules, each designed to very specifically bind to a selected complementary RNA sequence (targeted RNA transcript). Custom-sequence Morpholinos are used in a broad range of biological research areas, as well as for therapeutic applications in vivo (in living animals such as humans). For most in vivo applications the “bare” Morpholino (FIG. 1a) is linked to a cationic delivery component to give a “delivery-enabled” Morpholino (FIG. 1b) with significantly improved delivery efficiency. However, cytosolic delivery was still markedly less than expected. Then recently we discovered that by adding a special disconnect component between the Morpholino component and the cationic delivery component (FIG. 1c), the cytosolic delivery efficiency for the Morpholino was dramatically increased (about a 1,000% increase in delivery efficiency).

  • Publication number: 20230347557
Abstract: A method of forming a polymeric vacuum insulation board is provided, the polymeric vacuum insulation board including a plurality of evacuated, closed-cell pores therein. In one embodiment, the method includes intermixing a polymer with zeolite particles that contain water and extruding the resulting composition under high pressure. During extrusion, water in the zeolite particles evaporates and creates a porous, closed-cell microstructure within a polymer matrix. As the polymer matrix cools and solidifies, water vapor is reabsorbed by the zeolite, which at least partially evacuates the closed-cell pores. In another embodiment, the method includes intermixing a polymer with expandable graphite particles and extruding the resulting composition under high pressure. During extrusion, the expandable graphite particles define evacuated voids. The polymer binder can be selected to include low gas permeance, for example ethylene vinyl alcohol (EvOH) or polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC).

  • Patent number: 11804816
Abstract: A flexible multi-path RF adaptive tuning network switch architecture that counteracts impedance mismatch conditions arising from various combinations of coupled RF band filters, particularly in a Carrier Aggregation-based (CA) radio system. In one version, a digitally-controlled tunable matching network is coupled to a multi-path RF switch in order to provide adaptive impedance matching for various combinations of RF band filters. Optionally, some or all RF band filters include an associated digitally-controlled filter pre-match network to further improve impedance matching. In a second version, some or all RF band filters coupled to a multi-path RF switch include a digitally-controlled phase matching network to provide necessary per-band impedance matching. Optionally, a digitally-controlled tunable matching network may be included on the common port of the multi-path RF switch to provide additional impedance matching capability.
