  • Publication number: 20230253898
Abstract: A motor control system and method for controlling a brushed direct current (BDC) motor using a feedback loop based on a corrected ripple count. Motor control circuitry, for example implemented in digital logic such as a microcontroller, receives a coil current signal and a motor voltage signal. Discontinuities in the coil current signal, such as caused by commutation of the BDC motor, are counted to generate a ripple count. An observer function derives an angular frequency model estimate for the values of the coil current and motor voltage signals using a computational model for the motor. A corrected ripple count is generated based on a comparison of a commutation angle of the motor with an angular position based on the angular frequency model estimate over a time interval between discontinuity pulses. A motor drive signal is adjusted based on the corrected ripple count.

  • Publication number: 20090000592
Abstract: A system for pre-lubricating an engine is disclosed. The system has an engine, a first pump driven by the engine to lubricate the engine, and a second pump configured to lubricate the engine. The system also has at least one component driven by the engine and fluidly connected downstream of the second pump and upstream of the engine. The system further has a sensor located at the engine to generate a signal indicative of an engine lubrication status. Starting of the engine is inhibited based on the engine lubrication status.

  • Publication number: 20070063576
Abstract: A method of changing or placing a tread belt 512b onto a two piece tire carcass 514 is described. The method involves jacking the vehicle 600 up so the wheel clears the ground deflating the carcass 514 and pulling a vacuum to partially collapse the carcass 514, placing the tread belt 512b about half way onto the carcass 514 to support the tread belt weight lifting or pushing the tread belt 512b the remainder of the way onto the carcass 514 and inflating the carcass 514.

  • Publication number: 20070047080
Abstract: Methods of forming multilayer reflective polarizers are described. One method includes providing a multilayer polymer film having a plurality of alternating polymeric optical layer pairs, heating the multilayer polymer film to a temperature of about or greater than both polymers layer glass transition temperatures to from a heated multilayer film, and stretching the heated multilayer polymer film in an in-plane direction to form a multilayer reflective polarizer. Each first polymer layer includes a first polyester material and each second polymer layer includes a second polyester material that has a different polymer composition than the first polymer layer composition. The stretching includes a uniaxial stretch.

The method involves jacking the vehicle 600 up so the wheel clears the ground deflating the carcass 514 and pulling a vacuum to partially collapse the carcass 514, placing the tread belt 512b about halfway onto the carcass 514 to support the tread belt weight lifting or pushing the tread belt 512b the remainder of the way onto the carcass 514 and inflating the carcass 514.
