Patent number: 11976498Abstract: A container having a base and a lid is provided. The lid may be rotatable about a hinge from a closed configuration to an open configuration and may be secured, via one or more latching assemblies. The latching assembly may comprise a latch body, a locking member, a biasing member, and an activating member. Additional features of the container may include handles and strength increasing features. The base and lid may also feature attachment points for various accessories. A carry strap may attach to the base of the container to allow a user to lift and carry the container. The container may also have a wheels attached to the bottom portion and/or across the bottom portion to one side of the sidewall structure. In addition, in exemplary containers with wheels, a pull handle may be attached to a side opposite the wheels. The lid may include a lid support member that can act as a molle board to releasably secure items to the lid support member while also providing structural support to the lid.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2020Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: YETI Coolers, LLCInventors: Roy Joseph Seiders, Steve Charles Nichols, Kyle Ellison, Andy Bondhus, Tobias Hotchkiss, Liza Morris, Dennis Zuck, Ryan Nixon, Mark Carlson Rane, Walter T. Publication number: 20240140664Abstract: A container having a base and a lid is provided. The lid may be rotatable about a hinge from a closed configuration to an open configuration and may be secured, via one or more latching assemblies. The latch assembly may comprise a latch body, a locking member, a biasing member, and an activating member. The lid may have a handle that has a stowed and a carry position, where the handle may be maintained in the stowed position until acted upon by a first force greater than a threshold force to move the handle from the stowed position to the carry position. Similarly, when in the carry position, the handle may be maintained in the carry position until acted upon by a second force greater than the threshold force to move the handle from the carry position to the stowed position.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 12, 2024Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Mark D. Miller, Nicholas James Lombardi, Steven M. Scott, Elizabeth Ruchte, Andrew J. Winterhalter, Liza Morris

Publication number: 20230397746Abstract: A leak resistant lid assembly for a beverage container where the lid assembly has a straw or similar means for a user to drink liquid is disclosed. The lid assembly may include a base, a straw that extends through the base, a gasket, and a grommet. The base may have a primary opening that receives the straw and a secondary opening in the top of the base, where the secondary opening acts as a vent to prevent a vacuum from occurring when drinking from a straw. The grommet may have a spiral ring may help create a flow path for air from inside the beverage container to the exterior environment.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2023Publication date: December 14, 2023Applicant: YETI Coolers, LLCInventors: Dustin R. Bullock, Nicholas James Lombardi, William Drinkwater

Publication number: 20230313629Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to blowout preventers, or “BOPs,” for use in a well. The BOPs according to the present disclosure can include a substrate assembly, which can include a substrate body having a base and a protrusion. The substrate assembly can also include pressure components. The substrate assembly can result in overall improved BOP performance. Additionally, whereas prior art BOP ram bodies are typically made of rubber, BOP ram bodies according to the present disclosure can also include graphene. This results in a harder BOP ram that is more resistant to wear and tear. Normally the additional hardness would result in difficulty forming a seal in the well, but this problem is alleviated by the substrate assembly design.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2022Publication date: October 5, 2023Inventors: James LOMBARDI, Mark PARROTT
