Publication number: 20240132691Abstract: The present invention provides methods for utilizing blended compositions of acetonitrile and toluene as organic wash solvents in the production of a synthetic oligonucleotide, the blended compositions producing higher synthetic oligonucleotide yields than a pure acetonitrile wash solvent. The method also provides a process for removing one or more impurities from the acetonitrile and toluene containing wash solvent received as a waste stream from the oligonucleotide synthesis process. The process includes adding at least one of an iodine reactive compound, a sulfur reactive compound and/or an acidic reactive compound to the waste stream, and fractionating the waste stream. The fractionation produces an overhead fraction and a bottom fraction where the overhead fraction includes the acetonitrile and the toluene, and the bottom fraction includes the one or more impurities.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 20, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventors: Jüergen Rudolph, James Guiheen, Sandra Lorenz, Stefan Seekamp, Christian Werner, Jared OConnell

Publication number: 20230271386Abstract: A method of forming a three-dimensional (3D) pattern or article comprises: (1) selecting a first composition to be printed with a nozzle of an apparatus; (II) identifying desired characteristics of a pattern or layer (“pattern/layer”) to be formed by printing the first composition; (Ill) determining dimensional differences between the desired characteristics of the pattern/layer and predicted characteristics of the pattern/layer based on computational simulation modeling, or determining dimensional differences between the desired characteristics of the pattern/layer and actual characteristics of a trial layer, based on a flow rate of the first composition, a speed of a substrate and/or the nozzle, and the desired characteristics of the pattern/layer; and (IV) printing the first composition with the nozzle on the substrate to form the pattern/layer. The method comprises, during (IV) printing, (V) implementing a correction signal to adjust a flow rate of the first composition.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2023Publication date: August 31, 2023Inventors: Bizhong ZHU, Stanley YEE, Kurt A. Patent number: 9751689Abstract: Diaphragm joint and convolutions, bottom screen diffuser, air stem, cap, and diaphragm restrictor systems for a pressure vessel are disclosed. A convoluted diaphragm divides the vessel into a pair of sealed chambers. The convoluted geometry of the diaphragm minimizes stress on the diaphragm at maximum displacement conditions. An H-ring, with or without being over-molded by the convoluted diaphragm, may be configured to receive end portions of the tank liners. A bottom diffuser, coupled to an inlet of the vessel, diffuses and mixes water flowing into and out of the vessel and drains water out of the vessel. Fiberglass windings surround and lock the tank liners in tension. The cap system includes a valve cap that engages an air stem. An outer cap covers a recess of the vessel and includes a hollow cavity that receives the valve cap. A diaphragm restrictor limits upward movement of the diaphragm within the vessel.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2014Date of Patent: September 5, 2017Assignee: Pentair Residential Filtration, LLCInventors: Ignatius L. DiNovo, James Lorenz, Nick Herald, James Craven, Kenneth Baraw

Patent number: 5949074Abstract: A spectroradiometer images a scene as a repeating sequence of spectral images, each of which spectral images depicts the scene at a preselected wavelength. In a preferred embodiment, the image is of size 256 by 192 pixels, and the sequence repetition rate is about 20-30 cycles per second. Full spectral analysis on the resulting sequences is performed substantially in real time. The spectroradiometer includes a collector of energy in the X-ray or infrared ranges with a lens, a circularly variable spectral filter, and a gate which gates the output of the filter to a detector array which outputs the sequence of electronic spectral images. These images are corrected for systematic errors and calibrated, and correlated with a preselected spectral response function. The image may be further post-processed and displayed in video format or used otherwise.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 1998Date of Patent: September 7, 1999Assignee: Surface Optics CorporationInventors: Mark Dombrowski, James Lorenz
