Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for auto-configuring a newly purchased user equipment (UE) device with content consumption material that is associated with a user. These methods and systems are provided by way of receiving, in response to the user having purchased the UE device, purchase information (e.g., a credit card number) and a UE device identifier (e.g., a serial number of a purchased UE device). After receipt of this information, a database is searched to identify a user account that is associated with the purchase information. The user account identifies content consumption material that has been processed by other UE devices to enable the user to consume content. A communication is then transmitted to the UE device that causes the UE device to be configured with the identified content consumption material.

A physical portion of the virtual detent bezel device may sense a rotational action of a user interacting with a physical portion of the virtual detent bezel device. The rotational action may be compared to a present rotational position to determine a rotational change. The rotational change may be thresholded against the detent pattern to determine that a detent is crossed. A haptic feedback device may be activated in response to determining that the detent is crossed. A portion of the output pattern that corresponds to the detent that is crossed may be output by the virtual detent bezel device.

Abstract: A summarizer machine can be configured provide a summary file of at least one episode of a media series. The summary file may be generated or otherwise provided based on one or more social media messages. The summarizer machine detects a request that the summary file be generated for a user, and the request may specify the episodes to be summarized. The machine accesses a media database that stores the episodes and also accesses a communication database that records communications among social connections of the requesting user. The communications all identify a same media scene in a same episode, and some of the communications all reference a same media frame in that media scene. The machine determines an excerpt of a media file for the episode and incorporates the excerpt into the generated summary file. The machine causes the summary file to be provided in response to the request.

When an icon is selected, an appropriate panel may be displayed. A uniform resource locator text entry block may only be displayed when an appropriate icon is selected. Thus the extra space that is lost through the display of the text entry block is only encountered when the user actually needs to make a uniform resource locator text entry.
