  • Patent number: 9086702
Abstract: Pressure-balanced fluid pressure regulators are described. An example fluid regulator includes a fluid flow control member disposed within a fluid flow passageway of a valve body and moves relative to a seat ring to modulate fluid flow through the fluid flow passageway. A valve stem couples the fluid flow control member to an actuator. The valve stem has a pathway to allow fluid from an inlet of the fluid flow passageway to flow across the flow control member between a first side of the flow control member and a second side of the flow control member opposite the first side to pressure-balance the fluid flow control member.

  • Publication number: 20150099611
Abstract: A training accessory for use in boxing or martial arts is in the form of an elongated body that has a first end and an opposite second end. The elongated body has a rigid inner core member; a compressible member that surrounds the inner core member; and an outer sleeve that surrounds the compressible member. The accessory also has a handle formed of an elastic material and coupled to the outer sleeve. In one embodiment, the compressible member is a closed cell polyethylene foam that has a central opening that extends along a length thereof and in which the inner core member is disposed.

  • Publication number: 20150034178
Abstract: Corrugated diaphragm apparatus for improved cycle life of a diaphragm are described herein. One described example apparatus includes a valve body having an inlet and an outlet to allow fluid to flow therethrough, a backing plate disposed within a bonnet and coupled to the valve body, and first and second diaphragms. Each diaphragm has a corrugated profile and is in a stacked configuration. The diaphragms are operatively coupled to the backing plate and each of the diaphragms is clamped between the valve body and the bonnet proximate a peripheral edge of the diaphragm.

  • Publication number: 20140373951
Abstract: Example apparatus for regulator heat transfer are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a regulator including a body, a stem disposed therein, a first inlet and a first outlet. The regulator regulates a pressure of a fluid flowing from the first inlet to the first outlet. The example apparatus comprises a vortex generator disposed within the body to covey heat to a valve of the regulator.

  • Patent number: 8740179
Abstract: Two-piece trim apparatus for use with fluid regulators are described. In one described example, a fluid regulator has a regulator body and a first seat ring to provide a first flow characteristic disposed within the body and defining a fluid orifice. The first seat ring is interchangeable with a second seat ring that is to provide a second flow characteristic different from the first flow characteristic. The fluid regulator also includes a first cage to provide a third fluid characteristic and removably coupled to the first seat ring. The first cage is interchangeable with a second cage that is to provide a fourth fluid flow characteristic different from the third flow characteristic. The first cage can be selectively coupled to the first seat ring or the second seat ring and the first seat ring can be selectively coupled to the first cage or the second cage.

  • Publication number: 20130092259
Abstract: Fluid regulator systems having reset apparatus and methods are described herein. An example reset apparatus for use with a fluid regulator system includes a first valve having an inlet to receive a loading fluid and an outlet in fluid communication with a loading chamber of a fluid regulator, and a second valve having an inlet in fluid communication with the loading chamber of the fluid regulator and an outlet in fluid communication with a vent.

  • Patent number: 7438010
Abstract: The present invention relates to thread storage and dispensing systems which protect the thread from damage. A spool system of the present invention includes a thread spool around which thread is wound. A spool cap is mounted to the thread spool in a manner which substantially encloses the thread. The spool cap may include an opening through which the thread is extended as it is fed into a sewing machine. The spool cap may be selectively and removably mounted to the thread spool in any of a variety of manners. For instance, detents may be provided on the cap to engage a corresponding groove in the thread spool. Optionally, a stopper is provided which may be inserted into the opening through which the thread is fed into a sewing machine. The stopper may frictionally engage the cap and thread, and secure the thread to prevent it from unraveling.

  • Patent number: 6874121
Abstract: A document editor is designed for editing structured documents. The document editor allows a user to select a linear range within the document and apply editing operations to the range. In this regard, the document editor differs from conventional document editors for structured documents. A user is not constrained to act solely on the underlying syntactic entities of the structured document.
