  • Patent number: 11276051
Abstract: Systems and methods for conducting convenient and secure mobile transactions between a payment terminal and a mobile device, e.g., in a fueling environment, are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the payment terminal and the mobile device conduct a mutual authentication process that, if successful, produces a session key which can be used to encrypt sensitive data to be exchanged between the payment terminal and the mobile device. Payment and loyalty information can be securely communicated from the mobile device to the payment terminal using the session key. This can be done automatically, without waiting for the user to initiate a transaction, to shorten the overall transaction time. The transaction can also be completed without any user interaction with the mobile device, increasing the user's convenience since the mobile device can be left in the user's pocket, purse, vehicle, etc.

  • Publication number: 20210406882
Abstract: In some embodiments, fast and secure communication can be achieved (e.g., in a fueling environment payment system) with systems and methods that validate an authentication request based on one or more pre-validated cryptographic keys.

  • Patent number: 10105773
Abstract: A box-joint blade system includes left- and right-directed blades that each include a saw plate, a set of saw tips, and a set of gullets disposed between the tips. The tips of each blade are axially offset from the saw plate in opposite directions, such that the blades may be mounted on the axis of the saw in either a first configuration, with left and right saw tips outwardly offset and producing a wide cut, or a second configuration, with the tips inwardly offset and producing a narrow cut. In at least the second configuration, the tips of each blade are disposed within the gullets of the other. The tips optionally have a positive hook angle of up to 20° or more, to produce a smooth, flat-bottomed groove in a workpiece.

  • Patent number: 7131473
Abstract: A coping bit capable of being easily modified to cut profiles having tenons of varying lengths is provided. The coping bit includes an axially extending primary drive shaft and a first cutting member fixed on the primary drive shaft. An axially extending secondary drive shaft having an upper and a lower portion is removably mounted on the primary drive shaft for rotation therewith, and a second cutting member is mounted on the secondary drive shaft in spaced relation to the first cutting member when the secondary drive shaft is mounted to the primary drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 4732785
Abstract: A process for removing the edge bead of films that are spun onto a planar substrate, which edge bead collects at the edge of the substrate. In processes such as the manufacture of integrated circuits, the edge bead of brittle substances such as glass, SiO.sub.2, tends to shatter upon subsequent high temperature processing and generates particles which contaminate further processing of the integrated circuits. A pulsed or repeated application of a solvent on the edge of the substrate, a backwash step of constant rotational speed and a deceleration over time provides a means of smoothing and gradual cutting back of the spun on film edge. The deceleration spin has a starting rotational speed and a final rotational speed; and the subsequent backwash step is always at a constant rotational speed lower than the starting speed of the previous deceleration spin.
