  • Patent number: 5537289
Abstract: A medical monitoring system including a wall mounting plate to which a center support member is rigidly attached using a pair of mounting flanges which engage a pair of integral tracks on a forward surface of the mounting plate. The center support supports a plurality of module housings, each of which contains module slots for insertion of interchangeable modular components. A touch-screen display mounts to the center support member using a pedestal which permits rotation of the display in two orthogonal directions to permit ease of viewing by a user. An electronic device such as a power supply may be mounted to the tracks with mounting brackets to provide power for the monitoring system. A pair of secondary tracks on the mounting plate support a cable retainer and provide a passageway for cables to pass beneath the power supply where they are concealed from view.

  • Patent number: 5515083
Abstract: A touch screen assembly including a molded cover and base is described. A mounting board is sandwiched between the cover and the base and supports a plurality of LEDs and detectors. Cylindrical guides corresponding to each of the LEDs and detectors are formed in the base when the base and cover are attached. The guides at the LEDs limit beam spreading and guides at the detectors prevent off-axis light from being detected. Support pedestals formed in the base, together with the cylindrical guides help align and support the LEDs and detectors to prevent misalignment and problems associated with fatigue. The cover is attached to the base by catch hooks which may be reached without disassembly of the CRT. Access to the mounting board is thereby facilitated.

  • Patent number: 4436497
Abstract: A mold for forming elastomeric articles and the like, has vent plugs inserted in bores through the body of the mold. The vent plugs may be manufactured of sintered metal. Each vent plug has a bore therethrough that is significantly smaller than the bore through the mold body, so that very little, if any, of the elastomeric substance being formed in the mold flows into the bore of the vent plug.
