  • Publication number: 20230392756
Abstract: A control system having a primary run and a trim run, each run including an inlet coupled to a main gas supply line, a pneumatically actuated control valve positioned downstream of the inlet, a pneumatic pressure controller having variable deadband adjustment, and an outlet feeding into a gas supply line to the facility. The control valve of the primary run is preferably high-capacity, while the control valve of the trim run is low-capacity. Further, the system and method for controlling gas supply to the facility has a total flow capacity through the primary run and trim run to the facility being defined by CX, which is the total flow capacity of the primary run (CP) plus the total flow capacity of the trim run (CT), and an actual gas flow to the facility being defined by FX, which is the actual flow of the primary run (FP) plus the actual flow of the trim run (FT) and wherein FX is less than CX, CT is less than CP and FX is either stable, increasing, or decreasing based on a demand from the facility.

  • Patent number: 11624456
Abstract: An anti-surge recycle valve system for a natural gas line using a pipeline rotary control valve for controlling gas flow through the gas line and a valve controller having a surge-programmable feature including a threshold setpoint deviation limit, which is used to control first and second control valve loops. The first solenoid valve loop drives a rotary high-pressure piston actuator when the linear position sensor determines a setpoint deviation in gas flow below the threshold deviation, and the second solenoid valve loop drives the rotary high-pressure piston actuator when the linear position sensor determines a setpoint deviation in gas flow above the threshold deviation. The system provides ultra-rapid stroking speed in tandem with highly accurate and stable positioning.

  • Publication number: 20220146052
Abstract: A gas supply line control system and method for preventing flow reversal due to an upstream pressure drop in a natural gas supply line, the system and method include setting a threshold low pressure for the upstream gas flow, continually sensing the upstream pressure, activating a trigger valve when the upstream pressure falls below the threshold low pressure, and closing a control valve in response to the trigger valve to prevent reversal of flow in the gas supply line.

  • Patent number: 5789535
Abstract: Methods of preparing granules which contain a water soluble or water dispersable polymer suitable for use in detergents are disclosed, in which a solution of the polymer in a liquid or a dispersion of the polymer in a liquid is formed into granules, in a single drying and granulation stage, wherein the polymer solution or dispersion is introduced into a substantially horizontal drum containing a multiplicity or rotating arms proximate its internal surface, which internal surface has an elevated temperature, and a gas is introduced into the drum at an elevated temperature via a gas inlet. Granules prepared by such methods may be used in detergent compositions, water treatment compositions, agrochemical compositions, adhesive compositions and cosmetic compositions, and may be used as pigment dispersants, mineral dispersants, cement additives, oil field additives, textile additives and paper additives.

  • Patent number: 5763381
Abstract: The detergent compositions of the present invention utilize cold-water-soluble starch, either chemically modified or not, as multifunctional detergent adjuncts, in amounts effective to impart simultaneously anti-redeposition properties and soil release properties to the detergent compositions.
