  • Patent number: 5327689
Abstract: This invention relates to the construction of a gutter 10 for the draining of fluid, where a portion of the gutter is formed from continuous lengths of polymeric strip-like material 11. The strip like material comprises a continuously extruded thin strip of polymeric material 11 which is sufficiently resilient to allow flexing of the strip 11 about its longitudinal axis to form a substantially U shaped cross-section along its length. A plurality of brackets 18 are provided for holding a length of the flexed strip 11. The brackets 18 secure the gutter 10 to a structure and comprise a first portion 20 for securing the bracket 18 to a structure, a recess 23 for location of the flexed strip 11 therein and means 26, 27 for securing the flexed strip 11 within the recess of the bracket 18. The invention provides a convenient means of installing continuous lengths of gutter to a roof while minimizing material wastage and construction time.

  • Patent number: 5303521
Abstract: This invention comprises an improved fascia panel and method of securing the fascia panel to a plurality of mounting brackets. The fascia panel 11 comprises a first portion 18 which is substantially vertical when the panel is secured to brackets and a second portion 19 which is below the first portion 18 where the second portion 19 is at an angle with respect to the first portion 18 such that the lower edge of the second portion 19 is rearward of the front face of the first portion 18.A first attachment means 20 is formed along the upper edge of the first portion 18, and a second attachment means 24 along the lower edge of the second portion 19. A plurality of mounting brackets 12 are provided which can be secured to a structure, and are provided with means to engage both the first and second attachments means 20 and 24 so as to secure the fascia panel thereto.

  • Patent number: 5297886
Abstract: A U-shaped connector bracket connects an end of a first tubular frame member to a second frame member having two opposite sides and a pair of elongate recesses respectively located in and extending along the two opposite sides. The connector bracket has a pair of side arms, an end member extending between a first end of each side arm at a dependent end of the bracket, and projections at a second end of each side arm that are directed inwardly towards one another. The dependent end of the connector bracket is adapted for insertion within the end of the first tubular frame member. The projections from the side arms secure the connector bracket to the opposite sides of the second frame member by being located within a respective recess of the second frame member.
