  • Publication number: 20240307724
Abstract: A fire-fighting system includes a pump, a nozzle for directing fluid flow from the pump to a target area, a discharge valve controlling fluid flow between the pump and the nozzle, a sensor coupled to the nozzle, and a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor. The sensor detects movement of the nozzle and generates a signal indicative of the detected movement. The controller communicatively coupled is configured to receive the signal from the sensor, and control at least one of the discharge valve, the pump, and the nozzle based on the detected movement of the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 11693052
Abstract: A network of storage units has a data path, which is at least a portion of the network. The network also has a dynamic time-varying or cycle-varying code generation unit and a code comparator unit that together make up an unlock signal generation unit; and a gateway storage unit. If the gateway storage unit does not store an unlock signal or the unlock signal generation unit does not generate and transmit an unlock signal, the gateway storage unit does not insert a data path segment in the data path. If the unlock signal generation unit is operated such that it generates an unlock signal, and it transmits that unlock signal to a gateway storage unit, and the gateway storage unit stores the unlock signal value, then the gateway storage unit inserts a data path segment into the data path.

  • Publication number: 20230183732
Abstract: The present disclosure is in the field of plant breeding and disease resistance. A method for the development of a corn plant enhanced for resistance to Colletotrichum graminicola and secondarily to Fusarium spp., both of which incite stalk rot disease, is provided. Also provided is a method to identify corn plants with polynucleotide sequences identified to serve as diagnostic markers for resistance to these pathogens. Further described is the introgression of desired genetic material from one or more parent plants into progeny with precision and accuracy to increase their resistance to these diseases with minimal linkage drag from the donor genome.

  • Patent number: 11045622
Abstract: A device for diffusing a liquid into a vapor proximate a face of a person comprises a U-shaped enclosure that has two legs connected with a back portion for resting on shoulders of the person around a neck of the person. A top side of the enclosure has at least one diffusion port. A control circuit disposed within the interior space of the enclosure includes a controller, at least one user interface, a power source, and a diffusion mechanism connecting a reservoir containing the liquid with the at least one diffusion port. Wherein the person has a smart phone running a software application, the controller may further include a processor, a non-volatile memory, and a wireless network module adapted to wirelessly communicate with the software application running on the smart phone to control a diffusion rate, an on/off status of the device, and a timer.

  • Patent number: 9710577
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving layout information associated with a circuit design at an extractor, and generating three-dimensional (3-D) heat source grid information based on the layout information, an extracted netlist, and wire information. The method also includes sending the wire information to an electromigration(EM)/current(IR) analyzer, sending the extracted netlist to a circuit simulator, and sending the 3-D heat source grid information to a thermal analysis component. The circuit simulator is configured to generate temperature waveforms and current waveforms based on the extracted netlist. The thermal analysis component is configured to generate heat source information to be provided to the EM/IR analyzer. The method further includes determining, at the EM/IR analyzer, an electromigration risk associated with a wire based on the wire information, the current waveforms, and the heat source information.
